In the new game I just started with version 0.6 I have noticed that the radius of the area of influence of my homeworld is increasing by 5 cells every turn. As you can see from the below screen snapshot, I am only on turn 12 and the radius is already over 40. Is this what you intended to happen or is this a bug?

I just started a new game using version 0.6 and I have already run into an issue with anomolies. I can accept that it now takes multiple turns to examine the anomalie, but when the examination is complete I no longer get a dialog telling me what was found. If I look in the upper left-hand corner of the screen and hover over the icon that shows the results of the examination I get a popup describing what was found. As you can see in the first screen snapshot below, I should h

I was surveying anomolies and started to see the strange report below. I have seen it twice withing the last 4 reports. I have been playing a lot since the Alpha first came out and today is the first time I have seen this.

If you want good comments, suggestions, and questions, I recommend that you post what you are going to present on 10/22 a day ahead of time. This will give us time to digest what you are going to tell us and prepare for the Q&A session. I have played many sessions until the game crashed or stopped responding (I have not been able to play a game all the way to defeating all opponents due to the current state of the software). I have also taken the time to create many posts he

As the below screen snapshot shows, the option to clone another Loireag ship is disabled because the cooldown period has not yet expired, but the popup window says "In cooldown for {VALUE} more turns." and the number "1" appears over the top of the "s" in the word "turns". I suspect "{VALUE}" is a placeholder for the number of turns remaining in the cooldown period and "1" is what should appear in place of "{VALUE}". <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/64/79/6479257/e0c9e3f

I have noticed that, after playing for awhile, when I attack a precursor anomaly or a ship graveyard the battle does not end with the anomaly or ship graveyard destroyed and the "prize" displayed. Instead, the target is still displayed and the number of enemy ships is displayed (see screen snapshot below). If I save the game, exit, restart the game, and load the saved game, the battles will end normally again. Sometimes, if I continue to the next turn and attack again, the battle

I just started a new game as the Yor who, as I understand it, do not create new citizens automatically via growth, but instead Yor citizens must be built. However, I have not been able to determine HOW to build new citizens. Is there something that must be researched first and, if so, what? Can anyone provide information on how to build new Yor citizens?

Thank you for the suggestion, but that is how you START the galactic achievement process. As you can see from my first screen snapshot above, I have already completed the first 2 steps and the only step left is to retrieve the orb (by the way, RETREIVE should be spelled RETRIEVE). Since I have found it and own the planet, I need to know how to officially retrieve it (or is this a bug?).

I have noticed that, when the game freezes during the transition to a new turn, if I save the game, exit, then restart the game and load the saved game, I will find a planet where I had queued-up ejecting ships, but only one or a few of the ships actually ejected leaving some on the planet. This suggests to me that the program is trying to do something related to ejecting a ship that it cannot complete thereby causing the hang. I cannot say for sure that this is the cause, but it

As shown in the below screen snapshots, my progress in the Orb of Draginol Galactic Achievement is at the point where I am supposed to retrieve the Orb of Draginol. However, I found the orb, colonized the planet and even assigned a governor without changing the status of my progress. What do I have to do to "retrieve" the Orb of Draginol?

1. How is a player's score calculated (what contributes to a high score)? 2. What is considered a good score? Below is a screen snapshot of my latest score, but I have no way of knowing whether this is good or not:

I have had this issue occur at least 3 times during my testing. When I move to the "next" ship by either hitting the space bar for the current ship or clicking on the button to move to the next object, the view will move to an area that does not appear to have a ship in it. However, I know that I had a ship in that location. If I right-click on a nearby cell, the ship will appear and remain visible as it moves to the target cell, but disappear again once it arrives. I

To expand on this, if you offer nothing and request all of their techs and resources, they will naturally reject the trade. However, if you then just add one of their colonies they will accept the offer. You can add all of their colonies to the list of what they offer and they will still accept the trade. Another oddity that I mentioned in previous alpha versions that is still in 0.50 is that you can request all of their techs and resources and offer nothing, then click on

I always thought that the class of a world meant that that was how many tiles could be developed, including the colony capital. So, for a world that is listed as class 3 should have a colony capital plus 2 other tiles that can be developed. However, I just assigned a Governor to a class 3 world (I know that sounds stupid, but I have a lot of class 1, 2, and 3 worlds in this area so I decided to make one a core world) and when I went in to manage it, I found that it only had a colo

Thank you for the explanation! I was missing the 1 added to the multiplier and, more importantly, I was missing the fact that I was the one RECEIVING the taxes, not the one PAYING the taxes. I have been paying taxes for so long it never occurred to me that I would be the one collecting taxes. [e digicons]|-)[/e]

Update: I just completed a tiny galaxy and I did not have any speed issues with shipyards. This would imply that the software has some kind of issue that crops-up as the galaxy size increases. Perhaps the way collections are designed and/or accessed could be the cause. I used to design and write multi-threaded object-oriented software that made extensive use of collections so I am very aware of the performance issues that arise when collections are not designed and use

I was looking at the income for Earth and trying to figure-out the math. Can someone explain how the income shown below is only 15.42? I would expect to add the Wealth Input (3.98), the Global Difficulty Modifier (1.0), and the Central Bank (14.0) together for a total of 19. I would then expect to multiply that by the sum of the percentage adjustments (40% + 180% + 5% = 225%) to get 42.75. I would then expect to subtract taxes (25%) to get income of 32 not 15.42.&nbs

I am playing a game where I have captured every world, but the game says that there is one other civilization still alive. It turns out that this is because that civilization still has a colony ship somewhere in the universe. I have included 4 screen snapshots below: The first one shows the size of the universe The second one shows that there is another civilization that is still alive The third one shows where the colony ship is (but you can't s

Move the troop transport onto a world that has a citizen you want to load onto it. Then click on the world to select it which will display the graphic shown below in the lower left-hand corner of your screen. The bottom tile on the right will cause the troop transport to come out of the world on your NEXT turn at which time you will be prompted to select the citizen to load onto the troop transport. I STRONGLY disagree with the design decision that makes you wait a turn to e

After playing the Alpha version for a few weeks I have a suggestion for improving the user experience: When you attack something, always resolve the battle immediately and show the results. The battles that currently work in the desired manner are when you attack: a Precursor Anomaly a Shipyard a Starbase a Ship Graveyard a planet that is defended by 1 or more ships
