Here is an older saved game screen shot. At this time in the game, I do not have the tech needed to build a Cruiser in my shipyard, but I can get this ship by dropping a Leader on the ship card. I note that, like all Commander ships, the mass is shown in red, as it is over-built. Despite the over-mass, it does not seem to make a difference to either getting this Commander ship, or how it functions, when on the map. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.

The red numbers mean that the ship is over the mass limit. Most of the Commander ships show this - it has never been a problem. I never understood this. I could always grab a Commander ship if I had the correct tech.

Thanks for that info. Under older versions, as soon as I researched Sovereign Tech, I was able to grab these with a Leader. I am not trying to build these in my shipyard. For that, I would need the large hull techs. This may have been a change from V 2.2 onwards.

Since upgrading to 2.3 and 2.31, I noticed that, playing as a Human-type custom civ, the two largest Commander ships (battleships) cannot be enabled by dropping a Leader on to their card. These are Destruction's Source and Annihilation. Originally there was a message on the card that a certain tech was required - Sovereign Immunity. A friend and I have been played MP every week for two months or more - since MP was re-enabled. We have had maybe one crash per 4-hour session. We played the latest V 2.2 Insiders Edition of GC4 yesterday. The game gave us a Peer Disconnect message at the end of every turn. We played on for about 10 turns like this - having to re-load the saved game every time. Finally we got tired of this and played some MOO as a multi-player game - which is always rock-solid. Under older versions of GC4, whenever you researched the tech for a larger class of ship, the game would automatically generate ungraded, larger ship designs - which would show up in your shipyard buildable model list. This may have also occured when a new tech gave upgraded capabilites - for example better armour or shields. I do not see this feature, with V 2.2. Was it removed, or am I missing a setting in Options? I researched Frigate hulls, but the only ships liste

I agree - please restore this feature. I also used to click on the Star Name and rename it, for example, I would add '-23' to the star name, if it had a class 23 planet. I cannot do this any more.

I had the same problem a week or two ago. See my post under 'Ship stuck in colony'. I did send a saved game. This was still an issue with the latest Insider's Build version Yesterday, I had to decommision my Starbase to free up my stuck Commander ship, which was garrisoning the starbase.

I purchased a Commander ship with a great Siege value. I used it to siege and capture a Minor Player planet. This was successful, but then I accidently moved the ship onto the hex with my new Colony. My ship was showing on the Colony display, but I was unable to move the ship off the Colony, or use the Eject button to eject the ship. I had to load a previous saved game to be able to continue my game, as I could not afford to lose this Commander ship.

Latest update on my weekly live MP session. We continued our Skirmish game, Star Burst (huge main sector and 4 smaller ones), with 2 human and 7 AI players. My friend I played V 1.96 Insider's Edition on Oct 16th, for almost four hours. We had only one crash, a Peer Disconnect error, in the whole session. Good new on MP games using 1.96. A friend and I continued to play a MP game, which we had started two weeks ago under V 1.95 or 1.94. We played a Skirmish game, Star Burst (huge main sector and 4 smaller ones), with 2 human and 7 AI players. We played for about 3.75 hrs with no lags. Then we had a crash to the Debug windows folder, with a desync error. The Debug folder was empty. There were no lags in the game. When we played two weeks ago, we had a crash to the Debug fold

Hello, My friend and I have started playing GC4 SN via MP. We used V 1.89, but have had multiple disconnects. I see that in V 1.9 this has changed: Limit games to arena mode (e.g., human vs. human). We are disappointed that we can only play Human vs. Human now. When will the Sandbox or Skirmish mode be enabled, with both Human and AI players, so we can play, and help test, the MP capability?

Played 3.5 hours MP with one human over Internet. Both using Insiders Edition V 1.89, with Sept 25th update. Skirmish game with Starburst parameter. Game froze on 'Turn Starting' every second turn or so. A Debug directory would flash up on my screen briefly, showing debug files, overlaying the game display.
