I am being overwhelmed by the veterancy ships are currently earning in combat. It has not been unusual to see a ship gain 5 levels after one engagement. Then you have to click on that ship, over and over again, to apply the upgrade, one at a time. I currently have ships that have levels over 70, with hit points nearing 500 (medium hull), and it has been a slog having to stop play and perform these upgrades. Is this a glitch or an undeveloped part of the game? Will we be getting better ship an

Will we be getting any tools to help with fleet management? Upgrading ships is a chore right now.
This answers questions I had. Populations should increase at a faster rate as you add more people and I'm not observing this.
When the game hangs like that, I found that I can ESC to the main menu, hit the "Resume" button, and the game will carry-on from there.
Is this really necessary? Does it really add anything new and interesting to the series? I don't believe so, but I am willing to listen to a counter argument.
Just looking at this sector you can see how your work is cut out for you if you are attempting a conquest victory.
I believe we should consider a new rule regarding conquering star systems. If you successfully invade a core world, all the other planets in the system should surrender. The way the AI is spamming colony ships and setting down on every inhabitable rock in the universe, regardless of size and habitability, winning this game via conquest will be an onerous task for most players.
The AI players continue to spawn colony ships at a prodigious rate. And it defies all logic that they will continue to do so will at war and send them into the war zone where they are easily captured. They will also colonize every rock that will maintain life, often within my spheres of influence. It doesn't take long to culture flip these planets. Although I appreciate the free planets, it doesn't make much sense that the AI player sends colony ships into non-friendly space.
Where did the trade licenses tech go? I'm on my 2nd game of .70 and I haven't seen the tech come up once.
I'm getting a lot of crashes, more than in past iterations.
Go to the main menu and click on resume. I am having the same issue and this often works for me.
It's a mystery to me. I have no idea where they came from. I hadn't even met that civilization yet.
Seriously, I'm wondering what is going on now. I started a new game and now I have Festron infested planets all over the system. I haven't even met the Festron. Is there anything we can do to eliminate this infestation?
The problem with that is the AI spams colony ships and plants on every rock in the system. Then you have to go and weed each and every one of them out when the inevitable war breaks out.
Is this the typical experience for anyone else?
The problem is real. I don't know how, but one got on Earth. Before I could blink the whole planet was Festron. How do you irradicate the infestation? If you imprison them all, do they still count against your total population?
Don't know, can't tell. With the latest build that information has disappeared. Along with the colony information.
Yes, it fixed the rim. But I'm crashing now more than ever.
Yes, the game is broken at the moment. The rim obscures the entrance to the subspace corridors. You can guess where they are, but this needs to be fixed sooner than later.
That streamlines the game a little bit.
That's a big change. I haven't had one come up yet, with 9 colonies already established.
You only get two choices, communications or military, when establishing new starbases. What happened to the mining starbase?
We seem to have lost the narrative when establishing new colonies. The 3-choice menu has disappeared.
