I'm getting this mysterious black rim around each system.

I was being serious. They're just machines, kill them all. And that planet full of Festrons? Glass it.
And it's full of Yor. Why can't I toss them all out of the airlock and re-use the ship?
I'm going to be really turned-off if Civ A constantly complains that I am trading with Civ B, then declares war over it.
I have had this happen to me several times. The techs you can research appear to be completely random with no control by the player on what to research next.
Will we be able to manage the sponsorship of shipyards? Can we have more than one core world sponsor the same shipyard?
I am really struggling with the management of trade in the latest version of this game. With so many trade routes potentially available, it's very difficult to keep track of where to assign new routes as you can't sort the trade spreadsheet. If I click on a new freighter, why don't the existing trade routes appear on the map? I have to click on the planet of origin to see the trade routes, and even then they are not very obvious. Is the trade function still in development
I'm running 12 AI at the moment. I haven't experienced any issues other than dumb AI play, i.e. sending unarmed transports to invade one of my planets unescorted.
I really don't think we can co-exist with these guys. We really need an option to glass a planet and exterminate them all.
I meet a alien civilization and am getting the choice to research the translator tech, but it never comes available to research. Is this happening to anyone else?
Good question. In in survival event, the priority of work is clean water, shelter, food.
When is the next update? The game crashes too often to try and play at the moment.
I have two crashes in the last 90 minutes. The game just freezes and I have to get task manager to terminate the game.
[quote who="Hamilmac" reply="24" id="3821358"] Quoting Larsenex, reply 15 Quoting Old-Spider, reply 9 I have a hung game that is repeatable. It's a new game started with alpha 0.55.194342a. I have a save just before the hang that is available here. After loading the game, go to the next turn, then resp
My economy is being overwhelmed by all of these ships I am salvaging. But there is no button to decommission a ship from the main screen. I have to double-click on the ship to find the decommission button. Can we insert a button so when I right-click on the ship I will see a decommission button?
I'm into my 5th game with the .55 version and have yet to find a single planet wit the techapod hive.
I'm winning prestige victories in less than 200 turns. Is this normal?
Have the devs published a road map of expected release updates?
I have always wondered why research in 4X games has followed a linear path, where you can only research one tech at a time. Paradox has done this differently with their games, like Hearts of Iron and Crusader Kings, where you can allot points to different research streams. This would allow the player to add or take away points based on their desire to emphasize or de-emphasize a certain tech. Have the developers of GalCivIV considered this option? Would the players of this game like to see th
It looks like you can't build a space station without techapods. It is also the most rare material in the universe. You'd think the engineers would have found a more plentiful material to build space stations with by now.
I'm hoping that we get a mini-map inserted into the game at some point. It would greatly help navigating about the map.
I'll never understand how people fail to understand what "Early Access" means. I just went through this for over a year with Hell Let Loose. Wait, at least, until it gets to beta state before quitting.
What are nanobots used for? Everyone wants to trade for them so I know I'm missing something.
I don't seem to be able to destroy pirate and creature shipyards. Has anyone else experienced this?
I finally researched medium sized hulls and it took 557 turns to get there. Is this the typical experience for anyone else? It's taken just as long to get to planetary invasion. Without it you can't take core worlds, leading to a much different game than any I ever played of GalCiv III. I'm still deciding if I prefer it this way or not.
