I regards to my post above, I've verified my theory that the Precursor Studies Center couldn't be built because the Xeno Archaeology Institute wasn't available, even though they were on separate branches of the tech tree. I researched Artifact Studies and now I can build both (or at least could if I had enough Precursor Nanites).

As I go about colonizing class 2 or 3 worlds for their minerals/research/income/food contributions to my core worlds, I am presented with colonization events that sometimes seem to make sense only if I want to convert these worlds to core worlds, which for this size I would never do. For example, does a colonization event that gives +20% manufacturing make any sense for a non-core world? I could be wrong, but it doesn't seem to increase the production sent to the core world. When I did in that version I was getting less than one 1 credit per turn total from all of my tourism, so IMHO it's worthless as is.

[/quote] Several people have reported a bug in .50 where combat stops working. If you save and reload the game it starts working again. If that fixes it for you, it's the same bug. If it doesn't fix it, I'm sure the devs would appreciate a saved game so they can find the problem.

Haven't found any techs yet to reduce pollution (although IIRC the name of at least one implies it should do it) but I have found anomalies that gave me an artifact to reduce pollution by 20% on a planet. I'm not sure it matters much on a colony, though, as opposed to a core world.

I have a class 18 desert planet with 3 housing districts, all at level 3. The housing districts should add a total of +12 to the population capacity, yet the population cap at the upper right shows 10/10. The tooltip for the populations says that the population is being capped by the housing supply, and to construct cities to increase the cap. So (a) shouldn't the cap be higher than 10 since I should have whatever the base planet population was +12? And (b) shouldn't the tooltip say build hou

There have been some reports of combat suddenly not working. Not just shipyards though. If you can save, restart, and then reload the game it might start working again according to the reports I've seen.

[/quote] Enforce Law actually costs 50, so either that cost or the tooltip is wrong. And as I've pointed out before (here or on Discord or maybe both) Enforce Law sometimes actually increases crime. It needs to be looked at.

My first game on .50 is galaxy size Constellation, sector size Huge, Proximity "Distanced From AI". I thought that this might give me one other AI in my starting sector, but it turns out I'm alone. Perhaps that's because I only had 8 players. Also, I've now explored the entire huge starting sector, and the only resources I've found are one antimatter and one promethion. I had Resource Frequency Common, Asteroid Frequency Common, Nebulae Occasional, and Black Hole Frequency Uncommon.</

I found the new Civilization Policies window by clicking on the advisor's advice to select a policy. Is there another way to open that window? I couldn't find one. I thought it might be a new tab on the Govern Civilization window, but it's not. I guess it's supposed to be accessed via the Policies icon between the Leaders and the Ideology icons, but that's grayed out.
