What has likely happened is the world you are building the constructor on only has 1 citizen.
No, as I said in my post the core world it was launching from had 3 citizens.

The tech "Hyperdrive Optomization" is misspelled.
I just built my first constructor and got this message: What is "reserved" or "unreserved" colony population? What is the minimum ship load for a constructor? I would assume it would be one. But the core planet its being launched from has 3 population.
After you research the trade tech you have to convert one of your citizens into a trader.
Typo: The citizen approval tooltip says "There is to much crime" when it should be "There is too much crime".
I got another event where a secret outpost was discovered with an alien that had been spying on me. The choices were to gain a diplomat, gain a class 5 colony, and gain 50 research. I chose to gain the class 5 colony, but the colony I gained was not class 5 but class 2.
I just got a random event involving some religious sect or cult, where my choices were (1) get a leader, (2) get credits, and (3) gain a cleric citizen. Since I didn't know what a cleric citizen offered, I chose that one, but none of my worlds gained a cleric. So the choice didn't work.

In the current alpha the only pre-defined ship templates are for tiny hulls. For small hulls and up you have to design your own.
In the past when this question has been asked, Stardock's response has been to put the save file in a file sharing service like Dropbox, and then past the link into a forum post. That technique has always worked for me.
In some games you can 'check' what notifications you get in game which is handled in the options menu. This would be nice as I agree with Publius some notifications are way more important than others. Ships being destroyed by monsters/pirates, treaty expirations both should be colored to grab attention and possible links so we can 'click' on the notification and in the case of my ship being eaten, it will take me to where the location was s

I hope something is done about the notification system. Aside from the already reported bug where notifications either do not appear at all or flash and then disappear, I find them too cluttered with notifications that I don't care about and I miss notifications that I do care about. Not all notifications are created equal. For example, I don't care about a notification that tells me I've just won a battle where I was the attacker and just watched that battle. Similarly, I don't care
If the random tech choice system (which I have previously expressed my distaste for) is kept, and changes are made to weight the probabilities of the different tech options appearing, I hope that techs required for missions are included in the weighting. I had one mission that required me to research a particular military tech, and it appeared for me to research precisely once in an over 600 turn game.
Do you mean you can't build small or medium hulls? You said you can build them. Anyway, ships larger than tiny can be built, but you have to use the ship designer to create your own.
I won my first game last night (ascension), and was presented with a black screen that didn't go away until I clicked on it. Then I saw the victory summary screen. I'm assuming it happened because the animated victory screens aren't in the game yet, but I thought I'd mention it in case it's a bug.
A simple request that I hope would be easy to implement: The numeric keys 1 to 4 along the top row of the keyboard provide 4 predefined views of the galaxy slanting away from the player at different angles. Could we please have another one (5?) to provide a true top down view of the galaxy? I always end up having to use the middle mouse button to tilt to as close to a top down view as I can get.
It may be difficult to see in this screen capture, but at certain levels of zoom, in the area not obscured by FOW, there is a cross-hatch pattern of hexes that are slightly darker than the others. It's a minor thing, really, but I mention it because when I first saw it I thought that my probes had not fully explored the area and sent one back to see. In the screenshot I've placed arrows to point out two of the intersections of the dark lines. If I zoom farther in or zoom farther out I d

After I invaded one of the Arceans's core planets, they surrendered to me. I now have all of their core planets and colonies. However, they still have at least one colony ship, they still show up in the diplomacy window, and on my last turn they popped up a message asking for peace. Here's a saved game.
Here's a really strange ship pathing problem. If I try to send this constructor to the tile indicated, it picks a sensible route there: But if I try to go one hex to the southeast, it picks this route:
I researched the tech that allows me to build freighters, but I can't establish trade routes. Under Trade, the research to get trade routes is "%s". Are trade routes not in the game yet? If so, the tech that allows freighters to be built should provide at least 2 trade licenses.
You need to convert one or more of your citizens to traders to get trade licenses.
BTW, I reported a bug where if an AI civ establishes a trade route with one of your planets, it counts against your trade license count. So I had 2 routes and 2 trader citizens, then an AI set up a trade route with me. To establish my 3rd trade route I had to create 2 more trader citizens.
I have two trade routes that I started, and two trader citizens. I have 1 foreign trade route. The Govern Civilization Trade tab shows "Available Trade Licenses -1/1". Also, when I hover the cursor over the name of one of the trading planets, I get extraneous info as shown here: Edit: I later tried to create another trade route (including creating another t
