One kind of obvious way to avoid the stop and turn is to activate the wand before you are going to be running/chasing someone down. With the latter, you might waste some wand usage in activating it when they don't run, but usually you'll have a good feel for whether they will be retreating or not. Doesn't help so much with the HoL though.

That probably sucks considering the way it sounds like you guys are gaming the pantheon system that it probably takes you longer than that to actually get in a game.
Some people are sore losers and will take it out on you. You can: 1) Call them dirty names and make fun of them. 2) Threaten the lives of their family, friends, and/or pets. 3) Mute them. Oh wait, you can't 3. I guess you'll have to go with 1 or 2.
We should definitely make him pink... and his mist. That'll show him.
Shared control doesn't make it worth staying, even if you can plunder their items. Most people leave when they die 1-2 times and they don't have crap anyway. 2v1 is not going to work unless the 2 are, at best, mildly retarded. It would be kind of cool if there was a different game type option to join 'Saviour' or something where you got randomly dumped into leavers' spots where you received some kind of bonus for doing so.
Heh I'm thinking he was ticked off and the anger had overtaken his mind. Use the force, stryker, don't give in to the hatred of the dark side!
Kind of drastic maybe, but I think it should not only remove AI, but also drop opponents until teams are evened. Otherwise, you may as well quit as soon as your teammate does, at least in 2v2. The other team has to suck ultra hard for any 2v1 to even be remotely feasable. At least if it evened like that, the game would be salvageable. I'd like to see it as an option in that when someone left all players got to choose to either even the teams, continue with no stat
Yeah he definitely should not be able to jump gaps. Exile is probably even worse when it is domination with the two gold mine flags in the center. Disagree crucible is a terrible map... I think it should force your first five skirmish/pantheon games to be variants of 1v1 and 2v2 dom/conq/fort on crucible. [e digicons][/e] The terrible map is prison. No other map is so wide open. At least throw up some stone pillars or something in all that expanse.
Hmm... it would be cool if the game showed rank beside names like WC3. Also, the ability to more formally lead by rank so you got options of placing attack and move flags similar to savage. If teammates did it, they get cumulative points that end up deciding an award that would equate to a little favor or maybe even contribute to karma somehow if they work that system in.
I've only played her myself in a LAN comp stomp with a buddy. She went through mana like she thought she had a crystal hovering over her head the first game (I went heavy siege). The next game, I had less mana problems, but it was kind of hard for me to kill anything... even though I also didn't have any trouble living. After several more games with her, I came to the conclusion that she is just not as flexible as other DGs. There seems to be maybe a couple variations on her that
Sounds like your beef concerns GPG and you even say yourself you are comfy with SD so why not post this in GPG forums instead of here?
Seconded. I would think that even 3v3, if teamwork was heavy, that ice TB would own compared to fire. Definitely once you go 4v4 or more, I think the AOE of his ice path would prove to be better. Slowing attack/move speed, freezing in place, interrupting skills, increasing their cooldown, shattering armor... Probably the second best support hero in the game. (It's hard to beat Sedna's healing.) The dynamics just change with more people, and I think it is reasonable to expect t
Anyone care to quote that post from Frog over there in this thread? Some of us are slaving for the man and bound by his corporate proxy server web filtering fascism.
Do people really take last stand with Oak? Maybe it's a good last ditch skill when it comes down to a drawn out conquest/fortress 3v3 or something, otherwise, he has much better. I like to not die to begin with, so last stand is sort of off the table as it implies 'hey I am going to die, but...'
This list doesn't take into account teamwork, items, etc. Only skills and natural DG abilities.
I think the topic was sort of invalidated from the start. You can
Edit: Bah double-posted.
Clicking spit, bite, then spit again is not any more 'skillful' than just auto attacking. Spamming your skills != having skill. Skill is about timing, teamwork, and using resources wisely. I don't think it has much to do with autoattack vs skill spam. I umpteenth the idea tha
As rook, I go something along the lines of: raise tower, arrows, save the point, save the point, boulder roll, light shoulder tower, god strength, then mostly maxing stats and light tower, taking trebuchet and any/all levels of god strength asap. If it goes that long, at 16 or so you want to get some pts into that massive hammer you got. His regen will be ridiculous and so you'll want to be able to put a hurting on him in a big way. boulder roll -> smack that bloodsuck
What would cause games to not be recorded at all? I had two panth games that me and another person played to completion against two opponents. One game both opponents stayed till the end. The other game, one opponent said gg and left a couple minutes before we won. Neither of them counted as a win/loss/anything.
All I suppose I am saying is that you shouldn't take it as bossy because someone says do this or do that. Most of the time it is a genuine effort to help the team. Not all the time. There are some amazingly annoying brats out there. Just understand that this 'barking of orders' usually just isn't. The quickest way to get the point across is the best way, imo. Time is a most important resource. I played a 2v2 the other night and the first thing the guy said was along th
Jeez. Chill out. The guy was just trying to help. You want him to give you a midgame reacharound to make you feel comfy. Seeing people get all bent because someone tries to help them just makes me want to quit when I get paired with a noob. It's a waste of my time playing with someone who is so content with sucking that they get pissed off if someone tries to help them. WTF are they playing skirmish/panth for then? None of my business I suppose... They have the
I guess I was just lucky for awhile. It had seemed to be working fine for me. Today it cheated me out of two wins. Bah. It also seems to be giving credit for beating the AI in pantheon. I'm lucky enough to be able to connect and I guess it's still fun even panth is meaningless, but why even bother if it's like this? Maybe skirmish is working better.
Totally disagree that the rook can't hold the goldmine flag on crucible. I had an epic game against an erebus on that and I mostly dominated that flag. I eventually lost the game because I took a big risk (sold all my equip and upgraded from priests through to giants). I had a pretty good lead, at least 2-3 levels of war score and leading in kills by at least 2:1 margin.
Speaking of the stone dude flying in space... A new DG may be in one of the constellations on Exile. ;)
The functionality is not quite all there yet. Don't be surprised if the replay locks up or crashes or something.
Go here: mydocs/my games/gas powered games/demigod/replays It automatically has the one for your last game. If you want to keep it, you'll need to grab itor rename it before your next game. To replay, it is something like demigod.exe -replay . Someone out there has a decent d/l that will make it easy for you if you don't quite see what I'm talking about already.
