I discovered some kind of a bug in my router where it would not let me forward a range because it kept telling me a port in the range was already involved in another forwarding rule. That port was nowhere to be found in any range or in any screen anywhere I looked on the router. I had to use the factory defaults reset button to wipe out the router settings completely before I could get it to take a rule for that port. Not sure if it'd help you any, but if you're comfortable losing you
Also split the continuous gold they would have been getting among the other people. That's a lot of gold.
Don't you think at some point that tips the scale the other way? Wouldn't it make you disadvantaged if a teammate did not leave? I mean everyone wants more gold. I know I want more gold. I just don't think that really addresses the problem, particularly in a 2v1 situation. Sure, it would help. But it isn't going to make up for the fact that you can'

Rhym, are you familiar with the term ad hominem? You have given an almost impeccable example. Right now, I can definitely see your point that your friends in particular may just let you be dropped instead of all agreeing to concede the game and start a new one with you, I know that would be my choice from what I've seen from you so far. However, nothing I have said discounted the possibility that they may do so in spite of your attitude. As a matter of fact, I pretty

Inf, I confused you with Vyper. I don't think splitting the meager gold of someone who ran out and got killed by towers twice in the first 5-10 minutes is really gonna sway a game much. However, I do think that someone doing something like farming half of some big artifact cost and then leaving it to their teammate (who has saved the other half) would be a pretty awesome tactic. Mageslayer at level 5, anyone?
That's really dumb. I shouldn't be able to make an enemy quit by quitting myself.
Yet, right now you can effectively make ALL enemies quit by quitting yourself. gg,
Are you retarded? You can't force a player to quit because some dumbshit ragequit on the other team. If noone wants to leave, everyone stays.
Yes, it evens things up but I don't see the merit in punishing someone from the team who decided to stick it out.
Yeah I know, but they get a free win and favor + the remaining players still get to not have a wasted game on their hands. in a 5v5 that would be 8 players benefiting. You'd never be less than a 50% favorite to benefit from it and you'd often be more.

When someone leaves, no matter the reason, I think everyone left in the game would like to play a fun game instead of going back and finding a new game. With that in mind, after someone leaves for any reason: 1) The leaver gets a loss and receives 0 favor. 2) The leaver DG gtfo. No AI. 3) Their enemies' are all offered the option to leave to even the teams. 4) An enemy is randomly chosen from those that accepted the offer. If non accept, and enemy
Listen, when you start a multiplayer game with *other people* you are commiting enough time to finish the game with *other people*. Hey, what are all those asterisks for? Oh, right, emphasizing the *other people*
Keeping my own views aside, I think maybe that is an assumption. Obviously if they are leaving they are not making the same commitment right? No, you shouldn't have to, but this isn't DG specific and your network should not have to be setup the way it is. One happened before the other is all. If games were working until your network was altered and they stopped working would you blame the games? I'm sure their goal would be for everyone to just be able to pop the CD in and let it rip, but the reality is that there are too many different ways people can have their networks setup for that to be a

That is true so long as the modem itself isn't one that also tries to act like a router. If it does, you might be able to connect to the modem router management page similar to the way you'd connect to your router's page. You'll just need to figure what IP it is using. If it comes to that, I would try to turn off DHCP on that modem altogether. Turn it into just being a modem.

I don't know why two spits should not stack. Two snipes would stack, two sedna bites would stack, two hammer slams would stack... I think you see where I'm going with that. Spit kills not because it is OP, but because it takes less skill to use than it takes to decipher just what that green cloud around your DG actually means to your survival. If you auto-attack, you see dmg numbers. If you nuke (TB fireball) you see dmg numbers. When you cover someone in the ba

The only way you'll get good at mp is to mp. SP is pretty much a joke. Hard to Nightmare is a matter of luck and early farming of the ai to keep up with their insane items. I see SP as a basic skills trainer. You can learn timing, working around the click bug, judging a fight to see just how close you can cut it, and stuff like that. Teamwork is pretty much nil and what is required to win is almost completely different. Come play mp.

Offer an opponent to optionally drop and take an easy win as though he played a 1v1 against the leaver and got all favor points while the leaver receives 0. If there are no takers, 'volunteer' one of them. In a 2v2, this will devolve it into a 1v1, so two people get some immediate benefit over the current way of doing things. This scales. 5v5 would mean 8 people would still have a salvaged experience. You could also give remaining players some kind of vote to call it a draw if

I agree it's often mistaken which is yet another reason I think mitigation is a better approach. I don't think salvaging what can be salvaged of the experience is condoning their selfishness. They should definitely get a loss, and if people really want some kind of metric to use as a witchhunt for losers, I guess the detrimental effects of that should just be weighed against the benefit. As I see it, the 'benefit' is nothing more than an abstract feeling of vindicati

All you can do is damage control though, which what I am suggesting. Until my patent gets approved for bitchslapping someone over RDP/TCP protocols there just isn't a reason to focus on *punishment* which seems to be what people are fixated on. It seems like mitigating the impact on other players is much more amicable. You won't risk false-positives and you'll gain more by not resigning yourself to a complete waste of time whose only reward is vindication through ali
You are completely clueless.
Thanks for that intelligent insight. You obviously put a ton of thought into it. I am sure you could back it up with unfathomable amounts of logic and reason emanating from that peanut between your ears. I guess this is retaliation for busting you out on gaming the rankings? Bravo, man, bravo. What I don't get is why you didn't just go rub one out glaring at your stats page instead

You also need network discovery turned on (at least on Vista). I had this issue playing DG over Hamachi when it first released. If you don't know how/what that is, google. Not too hard to deal with. You may need to enable/start some other services to turn it on. Also, if you do use Hamachi and have followed steps to prioritize your network connections for it, you may need to re-prioritize them by moving your LAN adapter back up above the Hamachi adapter.
