well, you can debate about it though, it has a more versatile character. I can imagine you will weigh the performance higher on the windowblinds section for instance, and stimulate innovation by weighing that higher in the wallpapers. You shouldn't also hang on to the 1-10 rates but try a different kind of math. At least these are some concrete criteria, rather than just say, ohwell I think this is a 7 or an 8. <img sr

Swip stands for: skill (technical & optical), workmanship, innovative, performance. Like with an index of shares, you can give weighing factors to each component. People should be able to search on each of the component or/and overall swip-index. If someone wants to rate, all the components have to be filled in. Maybe, this indexation could lead to a whole range of

I agree grayhaze, but if I see wallpapers that have big mistakes when it comes to light/shadow and something is said there in the criteria, I am really doubting the level of the moderators. I am sorry to say that. They have to apply the rules to everyone. Skinning to me isnt art, its ARTY. I can change my doorpost in another colour, but that doesnt say you are able to create depth with colour. Totally different profession, and thats why you see so many abstract wallpapers. Maybe you want to know why: - rating system, unfair and biased towards popular authors. DavidK, I had a 3 as a starter by one of my cursors. You obviously didnt rate it. I changed the theme and got a second 3, after the 3rd change it became a 4. I want my work to be displayed! - comments I gave to make someones work better were erased.
