Ok Brad, here are my thoughts. You need to refocus on what Wincustomize was all about, skinning. If the bulk of your data you pay for is the wallpaper section ( my logic tells me that non stardock customers only would download those) get rid of it. Instead you give Wincustomize customers the possibility to upload walls on their own WC site, no moderation, maybe a MB limit ( That way non popular walls can be replaced by the customer, rather t

What I tried to say is, the site has lost its personality. It's all (green and blue) greys and whites and a bit of blue. Where's the innovation where it comes to a site that is about skinning. Give it Wincustomize flavour.

Compliments for the content possibilities and upgrade. What I miss is the cosy feeling of the old site, it was this nice homestead you could walk through, this is more a slick skyscraper and has become somewhat impersonal.

ORIGINAL Skins! Not some fancy colourscheme with a slick glossy design, so many of those already. Make windows totally skinnable including the so called hard coded fonts. I haven't found a way yet to change fontcolours of the white fonts in the control panel and the black fonts in the search area (where the dog appears). Or do we have to wait until the next windows OS is released.... Mormegil comes to mind, as well as Treetog and Duopixels.

Imported with SS PNG files to TGA for XP startpanel. I was bored with the normal rectangular look so I made a different form. With the Program Lists Background, the black colour is displayed with translucency switch on, as well as with the More Programs Background. Also the borders with semi transparent pixels are displayed as black on all parts of the XP panel.

Windows is windows. You can alter the framework, but not all of the content. I don't know if it is already possible to change the colour of the so called "hard coded fonts", but as long as some parts are unskinnable you aren't likely to see drastic changes in colour for instance. As far as design, there are only so many curves possible on a rectangular shape. As I have said in the beginning when I started to look at WB, the ultimate skins will mostly become lookalikes. Oh well...everybody rates his/her own way. I am glad there is going to be some change...when a work starts as a 6 and gets horizons 1 it is listed as a 3, and after that nobody cares to rate (because only "crap" gets such a rate), or, a whole lot of people do not even see the work cos of the filters.
