I just upgraded from Fences 4 to Fences v5.04. The upgrade itself went smoothly but when double clicking the desktop after a restart I can no longer hide my desktop icons. Worked perfectly when using version 4. Anybody else experience this or know how to correct it. Windows 10 22H2
Still no updates to this issue? It has been going on for some time now. I was given a .bat to uninstall and reinstall from support some time ago, december 2015 timeframe. windows fx (currently running v6.01 beta) under windows 10 v1511. Both v6 and v6.01 beta are having the issue. Uninstalling and reinstalling makes no difference. Issue is same as above.
Still having this issue. Received a .bat file to totally remove windows fx and then rebooted my machine. then instructed to reinstall. Still experiencing this same problem. runs for a while and then quits working properly and when grabbing a window and moving it the windows all but disappears and then reappears after letting go the mouse button after the move. turning off and then back on windows fx restores functionality. Doing this several times each day.
I too am having the same issue as above. turning off windows fx and turning back on resolves for awhile as stated above. Noticed specifically after windows 10 update to version 1511 (build 10596.29) fresh install windows fx v6.01
objectdock loads just fine and works for quite awhile then for no apparent reason when clicking on an application icon to start the app nothing happens. this problem effects all application icons on the dock. everything else seems to work for the app including flyouts but it will not start any application. closing and restarting the app is the only resolution i have found.
fences is having difficulty with the ability to use different wallpapers when using a virtual desktop application. I have tested this theory using several different virtual desktop apps and they all exibit the same problem in that regardless of what virtual desktop you are on the primary desktop wallpaper is displayed. Disabling fences resolves this in all cases. &nbs
i too have got this problem. i looked at the desktop menu and the references to the submenus are gone. I don't have to edit this manually do i?
I have win xp sp2 loaded and wb 4.51 build 204. have tried the new 4.59 beta too. Start up system. Click on the Start Menu, pick my computer, windows explorer comes up (almost) then bam explorer crashes and reloads. I can also just pick my computer, my documents from the desktop and the same thing happens. uninstalling window blinds fixes this dilemna. reinstall and it comes back. does this on a couple different machines, different hardware, same
I have created my first bootskin and my progress bar doesn't work correctly. In looks perfect in the preview but when actually using it the animated part bleeds over and doesn't look correct at all. any suggestions anyone. Is there a height/width minimum to use?
sir gyver, just installed 2.00.297 today and all is well again on my xp machine.
I understand the firewall issue but unless they changed ports why would the 2.00.293 work without any problems. It would be easy enough for me to open up a port through my firewall if that is what it is. I support I could run a packet analyzer and see in fact what is going on, just didn't want to go through the trouble. In any event I am running fine with 2.00.293. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/image
started stardock central at version 2.00.293 build 61 and it wanted to update to 2.00.296 I said okay and it went through the update process. restarted stardock central and immediately received a connection error 1001. uninstalled stardock central and reinstalled v2.00.293 and it is working fine again. Has anybody else seen this problem? <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?Cmd=
currently running version objectdock plus 1.02e[rc].002 with virtual desktop manager and everything has been running good thus far. crossing my fingers and hooray.
here's an update on the cpu utilization problem I have working with support on. The problem has to do with virtual desktop managers and it happens after switching virtual desktop screens several times. Support has confirmed this and is working on the issue. I am currently using Altdesk v1.5.5 and have not at this point tried a different virtual desktop manager although I know several others are out there. I just updated objectdock plus v1.02e(rc).002 today so we'll see how it goes.
currently working stardock support on this issue. I have given them a variety of information on my config. will keep you posted on what they say.
I have purchased and installed the latest ObjectDock + but I am still having the 100% cpu utilization issue as before and I have not been able to isolate it to anything in particular. Are others still seeing this with objectdock+ magnuje...
just did this. within 5 minutes I got the same problem. 99% cpu utlization with objectdock. killed the process and all was fine again.
i too have been having this problem with cpu utilization. I have posted a couple of times but haven't gotten much help. I am running windows 2k sp4 dell 2.9ghz w/512mb ram. no other problems with this system except the objectdock app. I also am not using any docklets nor the task piece.
no i have removed all docklets not using the task piece or anything.
I am using windows 2000 sp4 and even after several revisions objectdock for no apparent reason takes over my cpu with 99% utlization. I can quit objectdock and all goes back to normal. I am not experiencing this with windows xp. I would be grateful for any guidance on this as I really like the app. thanks <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gi
