Hello there :) It would be nice to see a preview of the fleet's route by pressing and holding right mouse button. Fleet should take off after releasing rmb.

Got the same issue. Reducing fps is my only solution. I observed that gpu consumption depends a lot of where we are in the game. Low: ideology, diplomacy, core world Medium: galaxy (completly zoomed out) High: govern civilization, leaders, executive orders, galaxy (completely zoomed in, zoomed out to see one sector) So alpha 0.40.. maybe you can track it down.
