you can design your own civ. Otherwise only Terrains are available till the next update. Should be soon but don't quote me SD will not release till the updaye does what they want
Could the UI be fixed so that a players current settings are locked and not changed by patches/ upgrades I have watched the intro video and do not care for the sound effects and play my own music. Also having to reset all the map settings is a royal PitA.

I bet when you made your Civ you did not pick the farmer ability. You need to choose farmers to get hydroponics and it's branch. The other three choices in that section also allow a branch of tech. Part of the Supernova changes if you were on Epic.
Expectations is a static number it is randomly generated when the Cit is created I have never heard of any way to effect it. It is always going to be a negative number towards morale just like your tax rate. I've got one in my current game that is 15. Having said there is nothing to help or make it worse I do not know what changing jobs does and have not heard anything on Discord or Steam to indicate it does do any thing.
To be clear you can only fire leaders if they are assigned to a job. And firing them only moves them back to the unassigned leader pool. The only way to remove them from the pool entirely is to execute them, which causes a loyalty penalty to all your other leaders. My suggestion was a way to offer a way to remove sub-par recruits from the recruitment options without adding to the unassigned pool.
So you are talking "l
You can hire leaders and then fire them to get rid of them from the pool. I'd like an expanded tooltip when you hover over "expectations" that explains what the current state of your expectations are and why. Has anyone worked out how they work, and how you can meet them, or is it just "compensate for low expectations with approval boosters"?
Do you mean Citizen expectations?
I am about 24 hrs into Supernova, and I have started about 6-7 games (since we're all tinkering). I am seeing 2 strange things: 1) I am not getting options for additional candidates for techs, even at turn 84 and having progressed through a few dozen techs already. 2) I don't seem to be able to add leaders to factions. Is there an unlock in the tech or culture trees that I am missing? I thought this might just be s
Moderators I reported this post as being one of three duplicates, The original with the OPs initial explanation and my detailed answer to them and two that were blank the one with the detailed explanation was deleted. Had this happened in Discord or Steam I would have just deleted the to posts without additional content or combined them had they had replies. <

I vote no on this. Reason 1 if there is one in sentry mode you do not know a new ship launched. Paul it would help your play style a little but could cause many players to lose track of their ships. Better option would be a rally point that all ships from the starbase would go to then "sentry" till you sortie them. You then could set the rally point to the launch hex if desired. Use to do this in previous games.
