I've suggested this a couple times. I've gotten mixed respones from the community.....mostly negative. I'd like to see some kind of "terrain" and obstacles in the game and there are certainly enough interstellar phenomena to use. Haven't heard much from Stardock about this....I imagine the problem would be adapting the A.I to deal with obstacles and hazards. Don't know if it would be easy or difficult.....you'd think it'd be easy consideri

"As for the configuration of my computer - its really none of your business what I have " This the funniest thing I've read on the forums in awhile. It's like someone asked you how much money you make. Just ebay the game and put it out of your mind if it's stressing you so much.

This always happens when I get a great game that I enjoy wasting coutless hours on.......another one comes along right away. I bought Elder Scrolls Oblivion last night........ Now I have to try and balance my limited gaming time between probably the two best PC titles to come out this year. I only played it a few hours but so far it doesn't disappoint!

I was wondering about the U.P resolution that decides who will take possession of a newly formed habitable planet. The resolution has come up twice in my current game and both times at the U.P meeting the text is missing the name of the planet in question. The first time the vote was for me to take over the planet but afterwards I never got it!?! It was early in the game and most of the galaxy was unexplored, did I not receive the planet b

Choose the Terran hulls when creating your custom race. You should then have access to your custom Terran ships you made in your new game once you get the appropriate technology.

Yeah I did one my last game. There were about three civs left ; one was really strong the others really weak. After beating down my biggest threat I noticed I was about 50 research turns from tech victory so I did it. The strong guy left was evil like me so he left me alone and the weak civs were powerless to oppose me so it ended up being a kind of shallow victory, but I won....

I know that cloaking won't be in the game but I think it could have been cool......they could have made it a trade good like Xanthium Hull Plating....you could trade it to your friends and deny your enemies the advantage.

Good point.... But even if you are "Good" if you haven't been very good to your neighbor he may attack you no matter what his alignment is. That's why I suggested trading with and assisting the civs you want to be "friends" with, if you don't they may see you as just another obstacle and not a friend, perhaps you aided an enemy of his in the past or something...I'm pretty sure the game takes a lot of this stuff into account when it is determining how to deal with you. ....

NO NO NO!!!! Build a LOT and boost them a LOT! Build economic ones near trade routes and productive systems (especially multi-planet systems) and start boosting manufacturing and trade income. Build culture bases near borders and near enemy worlds on your border so your borders expand and enemy worlds start defecting. Build military bases near key planets so you don't need a large force to defend them. These are just a few of t

I've seen this...in my current game there are some areas of space that have nothing in them (ships, bases, etc) but I can still see what's going on there. I didn't know what caused it.

I not sure what it is you want.... If you don't want to fight the A.I then you have to stay on par with him militarily....or else you're right....he's going to attack you if he thinks he can beat you. There are ways that you can curb this behavior to a degree. Trade is a good one, the A.I will be reluctant to destroy his best trading partner. Gifts can be good too....but who likes to give stuff away, right? Aiding them when they're in tr

Reduce the population....destroy farms or send off excess population in transports to less populated planets...and reduce taxes if possible. I like to have 1 morale "boosting" structure for every farm and if the farm is on a bonus you probably need 2 morale booster to counter the population growth.

Tiny fighters are for wave attacks.....and there are going to be lossess in wave attacks against huge ships. I think the game got it right. The game says that a huge hull is a ship "3000 meters in length" (I think), that's pretty big and I imagine it would take a lot of fighters to bring down 3.

I wouldn't call this is a "major" problem it can be mildly annoying at times. The thing is you can't always be the most powerful and advantaged player in the game, sometimes you have to play the underdog (which can be fun). Since I play on gigantic maps that sometimes take a week to finish this doesn't bother me...because if you're three days into a game and you finally are getting a sense for the entire galaxy and you realize your starting position
