Trading is a plus to your relations with the race you trade with. So if everyone is trading with everyone else, they all have better relations with each other than they have with you.

Hmm, testing EDIT: Darn, still nothing
Hmm, I can't enter my seriel number because I ordered with a different email address EDIT: By order I mean pre-order from stardock, electronic DL.
its a bug. For now you can save the game and reload to work around it.
Are you sure they didn't surrender to you isntead of being defeated by someone else?
Apparantly you need to resize stuff before you stick it on the ship.
Everything is listed as an event, even the political parties and improvements. ~SDC~
yeah that would be nice, which is why I always keep my handy canculator around the computer :) ~SDC~
Corvettes are great for that. To pay for them build some starfighters and sell them for 5bc/x turns depending on your diplomacy level. I usualy rush to diplomatic translators, and then depending on how things are panning out, corvette tech, or the speed trade good. ~SDC~
Does pornocracy give a + to pop growth? LOL ~SDC~
I think you are thinking more granular than the game actualy is Frogboy. The way you are explaining it is that all factories, or a vast majority, on a planet do nothing but build spaceships and thats the only kind of job people can get. Right now lockheed-martin isn't pumping out fighters as fast as possible, no one is making dozens of nuclear carriers, so why isn't there some massive outrage from all these out of work people? Because most people are employed by companies that have zero to do wi
They look more like space shrimp to me ;p ~SDC~
Just what I need...another way for the AI to screw me over :p ~SDC~
The number one thing is it is too hard to follow a thread unless you are sitting at the computer refreshing every few minutes. If you leave for a few hours or go to sleep (some of us do that :) ) the thread you were following will be lost in page 56 :P by the time you get back. There needs to be a 'watch thread' type of thing. It doesn't have to email you when there's a new post, but you do have to be able to see the list of your watched threads. Maybe a quasi-topic could be created (ne
Select galciv on the software tab, and hit ctrl + p, this will force it to download an update if there is one. ~SDC~
Maybe minor races shouldn't be able to make trade goods and wonders? Kinda spoils things when all the minor races gobble these things up. ~SDC~
That would be great if you could make the UI more responsive. Even with a 1.4ghz cpu and a ton of ram, it can be a chore to play sometimes when the mouse and sliders chug along. ~SDC~
I think it has to do with where the ships are. My military power graph took a big hit when I took alot of ships out of various systems to guard a new starbase. The graph went back up when they arrived at the starbase. ~SDC~
Other good civs tend to like you and help you out more, unless you aren't doing good and they can take out out easily :) ~SDC~
Plus they aren't really 'in orbit' they could be anywhere in a system, not necessarily in orbit around any planet. ~SDC~
video is a radeon 8500 with latest drivers, and sound is a game theater xp on win2k. ~SDC~
Try a recent version of mozilla. It has bayesian spam filtering built in, and it works pretty good. Just gotta train it first by marking some spam as spam, after that it does it automaticaly.
I doubt thats the problem. My system is definitly not slow or underpowered by any means: 1.4ghz athlon/512mb ddr ram. It certainly isn't cutting edge anymore, but I can confidently run any modern game on it. ~SDC~
This happens to me too. I uninstalled the media pack (I needed space anyways :) ) but that won't solve the 1 fps I get in the intro when the door things open up. ~SDC~
I've had a minor race steal all of the drengin's technology and sell it to me twice in my current game... ~SDC~
