Here is some fanfic about Sins of a Solar Empire. We have rediscovered the sword of our empire, the Vorastra class titan. Decades of digging through the files of our fragmentary records have unearthed ancient activation codes for these mighty ships that once lead the dark fleet into the void. Thankfully, we also have access to massive phase gates that, combined with the Vorastra's highly advanced phase drive, allow us to transport the ship to our position acr

Hello all. I've posted two or three replies here, but nothing big. I'm a fan of the lore of the three factions and their subfactions in rebellion, and wondered if it would be possible to post some fan fiction here. If it isn't I'll get rid of it. I really think the subfaction lore is well made, with the Advent rebels getting all sorts of necromancy bonuses, or the Vasari rebels working with TEC and Advent scientists. It may not be as much as some universes that've been around longer, but Iron
I've wondered that too. Most mods I've found are total conversions into another universe, or add on new factions to the original six. I think the Distant Stars mod may have something, but from what I've heard it focuses on new planets and stars.
If I may, I've thought about changing some of the numbers in the game, but am stuck at opening the data converter. I've downloaded it, but I'm probably doing something wrong, since it seems to open for a split second when I click it then close. I've tried moving a file (TECHCARRIER.ENTITY) to it and the same thing happens. Thanks.
I like their style. The titan "factory" looks like a giant phase gate- cause it is, summoning ancient warships to your position. The Vorastra looks like some sort of giant sea monster with an enormous maw on its front. The Kultorask is interesting with this sort of umbrella of doom approach, and I like the little knob at the center, and the way it looks like chunks were taken out of it.
They did release Ashes of the Singularity, which is a large scale rts, with special dreadnoughts that level up. (I think one of the stand out features of Sins is the customizable cap ships.) I guess a big part of it is what counts as a "4X rts"? If it's any large scale rts then you've got the Total Annihilation lineage, including the beloved Supreme Commander. Paradox does make real time games that focus on empire building, but they're markedly different from what I've heard; you don't contro
Considering the threat blacks out all comms, and Sins doesn't have stealth, I think this is a great opportunity to make said stealth a key part of any sequel. And yes, I want Sins 2. Is it time?
Did it come with anything indicating they are working on a sequel? I know Rebellion opens with a launcher with a list of other Stardock titles on the left. Could be that.
I know cap ship abilities can be put on/ off autocast with a right click. I assume that would work for Dark armada, if it is based on the Dark fleet abilities of the Vasari.
I agree that fancy VA probably isn't the highest priority. However, I have heard some people on Youtube get really bent out of sorts about VA, such as the user StratEdgy. I think voice acting is nice, but it seems to be taken as a given these days, and I'd much rather have Sins 2 focus on the gameplay rather than aesthetic concerns. I suppose they could have a narrator for each of the factions, but I think gameplay should be the main concern. It would also be nice to see more differen
I would love to see Sins 2. As for features, I think adding in stealth units may be a good choice. With the Vasari's enemy approaching and the fact that it appears to black out all communication I think this could be a major theme for the game. Another thing would be improving the economic options. Maybe you could have the option to raise taxes on a number of planets, which would net more income but make them more vulnerable to enemy culture. New specializations could be nice,
