I’ve had the ship thing happen and what I think is happening is ships are stacked and it doesn’t say they are stacked and you may have engaged a different ship. I’ve destroyed 3 ships on top of each other and I was like what the heck at first but I am now pretty sure that was what was happening.

I’m trying to finish up the game and I am not overly enthusiastic about 250 to 350 turns I estimate it will take me to murder the last Ai unless it surrenders. I saw the challenges give prestige so I started against the tide about 25 turns in I say screw it and start the everwar as well might as well get it all out of the way and get some points. I don’t think these events should be able to be activated at the same time also when against the tide finishes it makes peace wh

The AI seems to be making questionable choices. They will double or triple core world in a super small area. Makes them not able to produce ships quick enough and makes their cores weak. More problematic is there desire to strike at my undefended areas. Which while they are undefended the AI can’t get to them with my flanking screens in place it keeps throwing single ships at me and while I got them hilariously and hopeless outgunned I’m barely even takin

I started the everwar and every race in the game declared war on each other. Problem is most of them had been fully defeated for dozens or hundreds of turns. I’m doing against the tides and Everwar at the same time and slowly conquering the whole galaxy started with 7 AI and it’s down to me and the yor. It would be the damn robots that I have to finish last Festron can’t make much of a meal out of them. I’ll let you know if the everwar and against the tide work properl

Hey Prey. Don’t even think about it. I got the penalty for pursuing a research victory and I have no idea why and I don’t even think there is a victory path for that right now. I assume it might have something to do with the number of capstone technologies you research but I am unsure I see what you mean now. Major diplomatic penalties can accidentally be triggered. Of course my faction power is X5 the next closest Race so nobody

I like that the exploration phase is longer in this game, the Col Rush of earlier games isn’t as frantic as II or III at least with the settings I’ve played. However I would like to request the ability to add “hidden” sectors to the game that are a late game technology to extend the exploration phase to the late game maybe make it a setting that could be toggled on and off. So a late game research and then mission that takes a load of production. So like

The website takes you to epic. If it’s super important to have it on steam I’d wait. Also apparently you can link epic games to launch through steam from what I understand but I haven’t done it.

If an ascension victory is close the computer should flip out on you unless you are like allies. You are about to sail to victory. Did the Dutch sail to victory when they got rich as F and were making bank. Negative they got invaded by everyone. Why? They were winning and they didn’t have a big enough army. Sectors make it easy enough to turtle I don’t think you should be able to cruise to victory. In 3 I started getting close to an ascension victory I made damn sure everyone knew

I am very glad the Tech to unlock Carriers is at least buried way way further into the Tech Tree. I haven’t encountered a carrier yet in GC4 yet I personally refused to use them in GC3 because of how ridiculously overpowered they were. I still think one of the easiest fixes would be to lock them large or even better massive size hulls.
The issue here isn't that there should never be a negative consequence to a policy. It's that the player should have a choice to decide if, of the policies available, does the cost of choosing it outweigh the benefit. That is normal. But the player should also be allowed to choose to do nothing. So we should be able to proceed to the next turn without being forced to fill the slot at that time.
Would you consider a tech late late into tech tree that connects to hidden star lanes and sectors that are unable to be found without this tech (except maybe for the navigators I haven’t played them yet so I don’t know much about them) they can be smaller sectors. I like how sectors do increase the exploration period but by mid game everything is mostly already colonized by the time I get there. Even maybe make this a toggle if some people wouldn&rsquo

Civ 5 does do this unless you check the save policy toggle. Which is something they hopefully see an add I haven’t been forced to take a bad policy yet but you should be able to hold the slot open. The policies allow great customization and can be swapped at anytime. If they had no drawbacks those of us being super cereal are gonna easily abuse them in a way the AI won’t be able to do. It’s balancing I already have x5 the credits of any of the A

Why would you use low loyalty leaders for governors that just seems like a bad idea. You can put them into command ships, you can put them into factions, you can assign them as diplomats, and you can make them a minster. Or you could just not buy them.

What map size and how many AI are you playing with? how much memory do you have? I got my first crash the other day around turn 220 but I was switching back and forth by this an ark with epic and steam open using all kinds of resources. I loaded it up today ran fine.

In the live branch the Mimot traded me Medium hulls for what I considered an absolute sweetheart deal. I’m going to used them to rain death all over the hive and the navigators making the Festron be true to form

Maybe people do play the same way I got over 2000 hours in Civ 5 with a very defined tech tree and what I research changes every game yes their is a usual flow but other than researching pottery first that is the only thing that stays exactly the same. Not knowing the tech tree is maddening you just guess and hope you get lucky. I will say it is A LOT better than it was. If there was a way to see a defined tech tree as an option it would be most appreciated.
