I can confirm that this was definitely a Windows issue. Having done a torturous update to Win 11 (first time backing out all of the changes made to Windows, so having to go through the whole thing all over again !), I am now back up and running with the new version and can happily change volume with keyboard buttons without explorer crashing every time. Note to self - have more faith in Stardock next time and less faith in Microsoft !

I am experiencing the explorer reboot issue. It seems to manifest itself when I change volume up/down/mute with my keyboard. Every time I make any of those changes explorer will reboot. Absolutely LOVE the product but this is a bit tough to deal with many times a day. Win 11 ver 22533.1001 Let me know if there is any other system info you need from me. Many thanks and keep up the great work !

Yes, sometimes it is OK, but sometimes it does now work and is 'blocked'. I cannot yet identify when it works and when it doesn't as it seems random. But having lived with this for a number of weeks, I can definitely tell you that it does tend to stop working. The only thing that seems to fix it permanently is to disable Start 11. Sorry - cannot tell you why this is happening, but I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Start 11 countless times and it still starts

Not sure if a video will show much - it will just show my mouse cursor moving between buttons and not doing anything. The buttons on my email client sitting just above the taskbar look like this: Basically, when Start 11 is running, I will move my mouse over them and try and click one of them (e.g. Calendar) and nothing happens. It seems that Start 11 seems

Can't see any issues raised about this, so thought that I'd ask if anyone else has seen this. I find that, when Start 11 is running, there is often a horizontal strip down at the bottom of the screen that does not respond to mouse clicks. For example, in my email client (emClient), the Email, Calendar, Contacts, Tasks buttons are down at the bottom on the left and often, they do not respond to mouse clicks. The taskbar works fine, but not other apps. Once I disable S

Can anyone help me with this, please ? I have settings set at Medium for the size of the taskbar, but they are Medium on my primary monitor, however are Large on my secondary monitor. Any idea how to sort this out ? Also, is there a possibility of getting clock on secondary monitor ? Many thanks.

I have a couple of issues. Have read through 116 posts and can't see an answer, but apologies if I missed something. 1. For some reason I have a normal (Medium setting) sized taskbar on my main monitor, but on my secondary monitor it seems to be large sized. 2. Is there any way to get a clock on the taskbar of my secondary monitor ? Many thanks !

OK, so maybe I spoke a little too soon. This is very close to being perfect for me, but there is still one glitch with custom Start buttons. I'm afraid that I loathe the dull default blue 4 square window button and far prefer the older style colourful orb. You have now fixed the fact that the taskbar got screwed up if you used a custom button, but there is still a problem with right clicking the Start button. The settings are set to show Win + X menu when

Just have to say - am (so far !) LOVING RC2 ! For a start, I can have a custom windows icon and still manage to have the clock, system tray, etc. all working perfectly. Other tweaks seem to be all good. Great job, guys !!!

Sorry, Neil - that is just because I am a complete dummy ! I was meaning that I wanted something closer to the Windows 10 menu (not 7) where you could group apps together in the fly out etc. Not fussed at all about Live Tiles, but don't like scrolling through a huge long vertical list of apps. Also keen to be able to change the Start Button (but I may have mentioned that !).

Oh, thanks, basj - that makes sense ! I'm presuming that this functionality will come to Start11 in time ? This is one thing that I am waiting for (can't stand the dull blue 4 squares logo - would love to get the blue "ball" logo with windows symbol on it back again). Also, would love the option to have the Windows 7 style start menu back again (but I think that has been requested in another thread).

I've tried searching and haven't found anything on this. Is there any way to have the All Programs section be shown as multiple columns as opposed to a single long list ? When you have a lot of programs installed it can take a while to get down to the later letters. Failing that, would there be a possibility to add an A-Z list so that you could click on "T" and drop straight into the programs beginning in "T" ? Many thanks in advance.

I have another problem with the system tray notifications (actually, two problems). Firstly, whenever I mouseover the 'overflow' arrow for the notifications, it automatically pops up the overflow window - incredibly annoying and I would love to stop this so that it only pops up when I click the arrow. Secondly, when the overflow window is open, when I mouseover one of the icons in the window, the tooltip is shown underneath the window, so is unreadable - again, ver
