I know that I can do it that way, I am looking for something easier to use when I want to step through many of the members in the list of a type of object. Using your way is ok (and I do use that way) when I want to look at one or a few members of the list. I would also like an easy way to change which Sector that I am currently looking at. This becomes important when you have many ships exploring/surveying in several or many sectors, and is even more needed when you have many Star Ba

Maybe additional information when we held the mouse tooltip over it, but that is how it already works. I think that we are complaining about how much the nameplates can hide on the Game Map. In my case I am complaining about fleets/ships and Star Bases being hidden underneath the nameplates or banners (or whatever name you want to call them), so it is hard to click on them, or hard to even know that they are there. Which is the problem when we eject ships from a World, they end up hid

I complained about this a couple of weeks ago, for a slightly different reason. When you do a eject all (or some) ships from a Core or Colony World, the default/normal direction is to the North West of the World, which puts the Fleet (or one) of ships right under the Name Banner for the World, where it is hard for you see it and click on it to give orders to the newly ejected fleet/ship. At times it can also be hard to see and click on things like Star Bases if they are in the wrong p

I suspect that there must be some Racial modifiers (i.e. that are different depending on your Race) that get applied to Leaders that you hire, after you hire them. I had the same thing happen in a new game start as the Navigators (my 2nd try), I hired a 11 skill Science leader to make my Science Minister and he turned into a 9 skill Science person. I had a lot more Stars in my Home Sector, than I got in my first try at setting up a game as Navigators. This game I have th

Did the update to 0.45 Test Branch that you put out on Monday affect games that were already going or not? I just built a Tower of Endless Night and I did NOT get a Culture Point, but the game started before that, when 0.45 was first put out on the Test Branch, so maybe I would not have gotten the Culture Point. I will be going past the 3 year point in my current game soon, and I may get another event that should generate a Culture Point then. I will let you know if I should get a Cul

I have seen this happen at a shipyard of mine that belonged to a Core world of mine that got conquered by an AI Race coming out of a nearby Subspace line. Once I took back the Core World, I think that the Ship Yard returned to normal. This happened in a recent 0.40 game, but I am sure 0.45 will behave the same. I think if a Shipyard has NO input production (because the source got captured), it runs into some divide by zero problems to calculate how long it will take to produce ships,

I think that choosing one of the those 3 Options, in the events that I was refering to, also is adding 1 point to one side of one of the 7 tracks in Ideology, which determines which choices are available to you to take/choose when you expend a Culture Point. Without Culture Points, Ideology is unusable. added: I see that GC IV test branch, has downloaded a new version that is supposed to fix this problem , so that we get the missing Culture Point with these events.

I have gotten several events that had three choices, like many of the colonization events, and choosing any of the 3 choices should have given me a Culture Point so I could choose an Ideology. If an I can get the Culture Point I have several places where I could choose an Ideology. One of those events happened to me just after I started the 3rd year in my 0.45 game, it was basicly an event for reaching that point in the game. I did not get the Culture Point that it said I should get.<

The Planetary Invasion Tech now lists the possibility of a Passenger Ship design, although it should probably also required the ability to build Medium Hulls. After I researched both, I did not find a Core design for a Passenger Ship, but I already had a personal Design for a Passenger ship that puts a Colony Module and a Troop Module in a Medium Hull (you need 6 slots to carry both Modules, therefore you need a Medium Hull. a Cargo Hull only has 5 slots). I suggested this design a co

Also most of the Drone Techs seem to be NOT implemented. The only one that does anything is the first one Drone Production Tech which gives you the ability to produce Drones for a cost 250 production, which you will need to expend to unlock certain Techs to be researched., e.g. Collector Drone Tech requires one Drone to be spent to unlock it. Even though it seems to do nothing and does not the increase of Asteroid Mining by +0.1 per Asteroid.

I know that I had at least one event (since it just happened to me) and possibly one or two other events in my 0.45 game that should have lead to me being able to chose an Ideology, but I did not get an Ideology because I did not get the Culture Point needed with the event. I am up to turn 114, i.e. over 2 game years into my game on an ARM size Map with 16 other AI gifted Races. added: I just remembered: it was the end of year 2/start of year 3 special event with 3 choices. It looked

It has happened to me when the ship did not have Infinite Range in one of my early 0.4 games where I did bot know anything about the the Subspace Stream and the Sector that it lead to, and the ship did not have the range to get to the other end. The ONLY "solution" that I could find was to DELETE (or destroy/decommission) the ship. So instead I just went back to the most recent saved game where that ship had not yet entered the Subspace Stream, and did NOT let go into it. Later in the

Suggestion: I had an interesting idea (actually 2 Ideas): A Specialist Citizen (NOT a Leader) (in two versions) who could Raise (or Lower) the Tax Rate of the World where it is located, to be different the Civilization wide Tax Rate. You might call him a tax collector, or a customs agent, etc.

I would try to upgrade a ship and it would not have the items that I expected. What I seem to be noticing, now that I know that I was looking wrong at it, is that the individual ships seem to get the extension matrix to be used by the ship to equip one of the other items in Race's list of items available to be used such as Drone Bays, Fields, weapons, slipstream, stealth, etc. Or the extension matrix could be used to upgrade that ship's hit points, speed, or sensor range. This is a problem that I also noticed in 0.4 as well as in 0.45. I thought it would have been noticed and fixed by now If the main Map has more than 5 Icons on the lower right hand corner (just above end turn button) for items for you to choose to use, such as Chimeric Biomass, Barnal Sphere, Precursor Archive, etc., any Icons to the left of those 5 Icons can NOT be chosen (what you see with your tooltip is the Influence on the tile below the Icon rather than the item you might

OK, I numbered all of my Scout ships so I could track what was happening with Survey results that seem to be going to the wrong ship. I just had a turn where 6 ships (in a row) found an item from a survey result that they could bring on board, and ALL of the ships did NOT get the item they were supposed to get, instead it looks like the NEXT ship to get a survey result got the item, and the 6th and last ship in the 6 ships was the Discovery and it did NOT get the Defensive System that

Try invading with larger forces of troops and hope to get the invasion finished before the orbital drones come back. I think that in my last game of 0.4 where I was fighting a War with Xeloxi I had some multi turn invasions get aborted because a new warship got into the World, possibly from a nearby shipyard belonging to that planet. The problem with trying to invade with larger number of Troops, is that the Troop ships on Cargo Hulls need 8 Logistics Points, so two of them wo

I quite often am getting several, even 4 or 5 or more, survey results per turn, since I am exploring in several Sectors with a lot of tiny ships. There is a problem that I noticed even in my 0.40 games, as well as the 0.45 game I am currently playing. I usually want to keep more of the equipment found by the Discovery, than I do on/by my tiny surveyors (who also have Infinite Range in my design for them), and I will tell Discovery to take a piece of equipment instead of selling it, while if a

In version 0.45, You have to have a Full (i.e. 1.00) population point for the World, that is the "reserved for the World" population. Then you need another Full (i.e. 1.00) population point to load onto a Colony Ship, Constructor, or a Troop Ship, which is the "unreserved" population, that available to be moved elsewhere. So to launch a Colony Ship, Constructor, or a Troop Ship from a World, you HAVE to have a full 2 (i.e. 2.00) population points on the Core World (Colonies no
