Have you considered that the unbalanced issues are there because GPG and Stardock are testing out different things to see how they work in practice? As far as I've seen, most of the skill changes are alterations to their functionality, rather than straight balancing changes. It does seem more buggy than beta 1, and that's unfortunate, but I really can't criticize balancing problems because they're such a low importance issue right now.
Alright, I just played a round as the Torch Bearer using ice. The number of waves of damage is the same as before. Level 1 Rain of Ice hits once, 2 twice, and 3 three times. The damage done by each hit seems to average at around 150 damage though, so the actual damage looks closer to 150>300>450 than the listed progression.
Okay, a few more things to add to all of this: First of all, sometimes when the framerate gets bad the sound gets kind of fuzzy or staticky if that makes sense. I've noticed that the problems seem to occur when there are more units on the screen or in the game. If there's a big group of enemies, and I kill them all, the framerate picks back up again. The thing is that the groups that cause these problems aren't very big still. Maybe two waves from the portal
Yes, right click to attack enemy units and to interact with friendly units is fine, since the player cannot attack friendlies, and there is no useful way to interact with enemies beyond fighting them.
I wonder if snipe is just not being used appropriately, or is designed for a context we haven't encountered yet. For instance, maybe it's good against generals because 600 is probably enough to one shot their guys from well out of their reach. Maybe it would be useful if the cooldown were lowered by a good amount so he could apply solid amounts of pressure to enemies while safe, or maybe changing it from set damage values, have it take his base attack and do 200% >
There are new bugs, but I think they will be dealt with. Beta 1 was really remarkably bug free, so I'm sure they'll deal with it just fine. The gold stuff I have to agree with, it's out of hand right now. I like the simplified items though. They're still important to the game, but they're not so needlessly complicated. The skill trees are less interesting in the way that everything is a straight line that improves all at the same rate, but I'm sure that will
I think I liked it better when it could target a location. Against high level competitive players it might become difficult or impossible to land the full hit on them without a snare of some kind, but I think that's okay.

I think left click for targetting things to get more information, and to target your skills, and then right click for everything else is a good setup. You should be able to reverse the buttons though, setting your own would be ideal. I would set it so it would be the inverse of the way it works normally, but I'd keep it the same for shopping, so left click moves and attacks, right click targets and uses skills, but in a shop left click still purch
Yeah, it happens way too early in the match for it to be related to the stuck ai units issue.
I believe WIP means "work in progress."
It looks like with beta 1a deep freeze is no longer redundant, and it seems to be a pretty strong debuff. The Torch Bearer can no longer chain stun, but frost nova is plenty good by itself, and deep freeze is actually interesting. As an added bonus, permafrost and all fire abilities were improved as well. Best of all, despite the introduction of the Unclean Beast, the Torch Bearer retains his position as the coolest demigod. Nice job, GPG/Stardock!
I've been having problems with my fps in beta 1a. Upon starting a new game, everything goes very smoothly for the first minute or so, but around the time when my first wave of monsters meets up with the other team's, the framerate plummets. I'm not sure if it's something that is just happening at around that time, or if the problems are somehow caused by the fighting. It gets bad enough that it's hard to play. It's happening on both waterfall and mine, and occurs&nbs
Beta 1a adds a lot of fun changes to the game. The new stage is a lot more interesting than waterfall, in my opinion, I really like the changes to the Torch Bearer's skill set, the Unclean Beast is very unique and a lot of fun, the items in the shops are much simpler and more intuitive, without being less interesting, and the flags have been made more interesting as well. Great job, GPG and Stardock!
I don't understand why people bother coming in to these threads where someone is asking for help and telling them to "google it" or otherwise find the answer on their own. If you don't want to answer the question, just ignore the thread and move on. There's nothing wrong with posting here to save time or to get a definitive answer.

You can, however, ignore them all you like and leave myself and others to answer the questions.
Agreed.
Regulus is definitely the most cliche demigod, and I think the Unclean Beast is the most unique. Anyway, I think Beast seems strong and has good variety and versatility in his abilities.
Actually beta 1a is out today. Beta 2 still has a month or so, I think.
I really like the idea of an onslaught type game though, exactly how it's done in Unreal Tournament 2004; where you must control flag by flag and non-linked flags are locked.
