i use a variety of upgrades as wel depending on the usage of the sb. trade upgrades are a must in non-colonizable locations. front line sb's are armored and gunned up as much as possible. strike craft are always fighters since the sb's do not have anti-strike craft capabilities.

ive seen the grid lines before. it doesnt have anything to do with fences. try updating your version of the remote desktop client. i also found some suggestions around clearing the bitmap cache in rdp, but the fix was the client upgrade.

Fences - Hide desktop behavior with RDP in Stardock Software Stardock Forums

v 1.0 Connected to work today and noticed that the double click hide desktop behavior over RDP is sketchy. You guys may want to take a peek. I acts like RDP doesnt receive an event or something from the desktop after the double click. I'm sure guys will find it!

i run at 1280 x 1024 and it is fine. i think you mean in low res enviroments maybe. however, when i forced my screen down to 800x600 the config and help screens were still ok. could you give some more details on the resolution your screen is at and the OS you are using?
