Thought I had the 'change individual icon image' problem fixed a few days ago using the uninstall from Impulse, after required reboot, disable anti-virus and firewall, and reinstall from Impulse. Problem has resurfaced. Now, again, get: - Rightclick a file - Select Properties - Go to the "Icon" tab. - Change the icon via the "change icon" field, or the button - Click apply. Results in Windows can not find "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Star

If this posts twice - sorry... I thought I had the 'can't find..activate.exe' prob solved - at least for me - when I switched from Norton to McAfee. Any way, last nite I went in to Impulse and dl'd the latest IconPackager update (4.00.166) and the problems back. How do I revert to the prior version? I think I've found the 'hackup' file, but how to I activate it? Can't find any think in either Impulse or SDC to do so.

I, again, thought I had the "Can't find...Activate.exe" problem solved for me. Then I went in to Impulse last nite and DL'd the new version - .166. Right back to the 'Can't find..." when trying to change individual icons. I did find the archive/backup file (I think) so how do I go about reverting to that saved version from the new one? Can't find any thing on how to do so in either Impulse or SDC.
All the points above will trigger a activationcheck, and if it doesn't pass it shows the activate screen (or a error referring to not being able to run activate). If this happens then you are the proud owner of the activation issue.
I guess I'm the 'proud owner' of at least part of the activation issue.. Everything except changing an 'individual' icon works. Can run both IconPackager and IconExplorer with no problem. Also can change IconPackages with
then under the my desktop tab right click the icon packager install button to reveal a drop down menu. There select Re-Activate and then run the program to verify it was activated.Hallv5 please uninstall the IP4 program and reinstall. Then use the re-activate again. I have IP4 on 2 machines here both XP and Vista with no problems. There has to be something running in the background or something stopping the proper install process.
I'm still getting the same "can't find activate.exe" error and now my dvdrom isn't skinned. I haven't rebooted though.
There are two different 'activate' issues. The one where the program asks for registration info and the one where the icon change causes a 'can't find Activate.exe' error. Thanks to inp

The 'activation' didn't work. Every time I try to 'change' an icon type I get the following error message - "Windows cannot find 'C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Stardock\IconPackager\Activate.exe.' Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start Button, and then click Search." This is a known problem and I understand a fix is in the works. I just was hoping there was a way to revert to an earlier (working) version until t

Am attempting to change the icon on a specific file type (winzip) file properties so it will display correctly. Under current icon package 'zip' files display as 'txt' files. When attempting to correct the display file type I get the following error message after I click on 'apply': "Windows cannot find 'C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Date\Stardock\IconPackager\Activate.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, c

No, XP. Every time I attempt to run it I get the following error. "Skintool has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience...Please tell Microsoft about this problem." Can't copy the error report contents or I'd add it here. Is there an 'error log' file attached to skintool? Tnx...

RightClick Skin Editor will not run on my computer. Keep getting 'report to MS' type error messages every time I attempt to run it. Tried reinstalling RightClick from StardockCentral, but that didn't work either. Is it possible to just download a new copy of that program? All the other StarDock programs seem to work fine. Only having problems (as far as I know) with the Skin Editor. Any help appreciated. Tnx...

Knew that - just had to figure out what I was doing wrong. Had more than one tag checked, but didn't realize it. Thanks for your reply...

What, exactly, is the 'filter by tag' function in the WindowBlinds/Wallpaper supposed to do? I assumed it was supposed to allow you to sort your wallpapers by subset. Doesn't appear to be working though. Any help would be appreciated.
