Ideally, you couldn't just pick a strategy from turn 1 and be guaranteed a win (at the appropriate difficulty level). It would also mean that a strategy guide would talk in much more general terms about the risks and opportunities presented by various events.
While the way I play does not always guarantee a win, it usually gives me superiority on my research, which then in tune gives me the upper hand as I approach turn 10
So I don't want to fix the "exploits". My recommendation would be if you want to switch the customization to give you advantages that's totally fine, keep increasing the AI difficulty to compensate (if you want to keep the AI competitive, there is no shame in just enjoying an evening of comp stomp either).
This is what I say has always made Galactic Civilizations a good game. It's customizable and you can play h
That's the great thing about this game, is there are many ways to play the game. I choose the peaceful path, and avoid war, unless forced in to a corner. I want to conquer the galaxy by influence, and use my superiority to keep those who don't like the way I do things, scared into silence. If you want war, you can focus on other things. This is the way I play, and I do like SimCity (well except for the last two).

Below are a few suggestions and text issues. Tool tip exists for abilities when hovering over the abilities after selected, however, while selecting them, you don't know what the abilities description is when you are going through them. There needs to be tool tips with the abilities while choose them, so you know what your choosing. This also includes the Ideology options.
Why is it that in the late game of a huge map, the program is unresponsive for 10 seconds every time I do any of the following actions: select a citizen for colony ship, select a citizen for constructor ship, citizen for troop transport ship, select new technology, navigate the commands tab? Processing the AI turns is done within 2 minutes, but I have to wait an additional 2 or more minutes for the "Start a new turn" phas
Okay I'll add my two cents...
A. UI 1. Yeah - big thrills - you can draw circles - but so freaking what when you cant tell whats actually inside your circle and what isnt - if youre going to have a hex map - make the boundries hexagonal as well and draw the lines so you can see them - the amount of effort required to determine whats within a constructors sphere and what isnt is ridiculous
I would rather see hex boundries instead of circle as
Just got an event to give me a free class 5 planet. However, I don't have any class 5 planet in my inventory. Not to mention, this event doesn't auto align to said planet so you can see it or tell you the name of said planet.
Just was awarded +2 kinetic attack via an anomaly, my ship did not get kinetic attack. (.50)
.50 Showing Available governors but the second one is not available. Recruitable governors below that one, the recruitable governors line should be one higher.
Even though I customized my faction portrait to something other than DL Bradley, it shows that I Seilore am DL Bradley not my Agite customized picture. Even that my citizens are torran not human.
Text wrap, cut off still exists in games setup screens... Opening screen doesn't save customized messages for faction stories ect...
I didn't see a fix for my perfect planet bug, here's hoping it pops up again, when I restart for .5 launch :) On the down side though I didn't see any mention on the game slow down, lag fix, has this been addressed at all, as it makes it hard to continue to test the game on large maps, 500+ turns. Thanks. I like what I'm seeing.

Financial doesn't appear to have a cap, where all the others cap at 5 (see on the right side of the screen.)
It says I have available governors but if you notice the second one has a price, therefore is not available. The recruitable governors line should be one higher than it is.
Once you move the resource bar on the top of the screen to the right, how do you move it back to the left to see the credits? There doesn't appear to be a left arrow to move it back over.
Game lag created bug, I was able to place 2 resequencing stations on this planet where resequencing stations are only 1 per planet. 2 Ultra Terraformers on the second picture.
How will that work if they can't see the streams? Why would they want it but not subspace scanning? It's useless without scanning.
Because if it works like GC2 or GC3 you can trade for better techs and not have the techs prior. They would then get the bonus of what they received.
They need to make building colors match the colors of the appropriate tiles for bonus's ect.. Make the game easy to understand follow. People coming into the game won't understand why tiles don't corrispond to the bonus. Also terraforming i
Ascension crystals are still bugging out, where they will appear, and disappear along the top border showing how many I have. all within fractions of a second. The game appears not to like 4 characters along the resource line across the top.
Black hole and antimatter are missing... It appears my black hole issue, may have been related to graphics settings. I turned them way down, and by doing so, made the black hole/antimatter invisible. There should be some visual indication of them, even at the lowest possible graphics settings.
First bug of the day, in food consumption it lists the best as the planet that consumes the most food. In reality it should be the planet that consumes the least food, and the worst should be the one that consumes the most food. As you want to minimize food consumption by producing the food you need on each planet if possible. <img src="https://cdn.sta
I have grid lines turned on in my space, however, They don't appear in every sector.
