TC is not an option for this game, I know, but some degree of control as "Focus on small ships", or "try to damage the flagship so the next engagement is more easy"... would be nice. Dunno. I don't feel comfortable clashing counters, and have been doing It since gc2. Some different would be good for the franchise, and refreshing for some old farts like me.

[quote quoting="post"] We need to be able to blockade the slip stream lines. I had a fleet sitting on the beginning / exit of the slip stream and enemy fleets can just cruise right on by without engaging which should be a no no Starbases should not be avoidable (possibly only Military Bases) if at war within their ZOC. You should have to fight to get by them or go around the ZOC. I can cruise right on by via 1 hex between us and they don't really do anything.
I have too interminent crashes, once an hour more of less. I was only moving around the map. The first time it crashed a dialog of stardock appeared to send info about the crash. Next times nothing. Windows 10 pro last buid, Spanish Intel Core i7-10750H 32 GB RAM, NVIDIA RTX2070 super
I own every galciv, including IV, and although I like the games, I can only agree. Some degree of control or input in the battles would be great. Its the weak point of the series Imo. I know there has been a lot of debate about this, but I'm not asking a full instanced tactical battle model. I'm not a game designer, so I don't know how to do it, but the system we have now is lacking ( always my opinion of course)
It could be useful to order / filter in some way the list of explored and available planets for colonization in a sector, and maybe give some info on the Planet picture itself, instead of the endless clicking on it to have that info available. Also once it is clicked, It would be useful to have it selected and centered in the main map to avoid mistakes sending your colony ships. Thanks
