Some thoughts

Couple of things

Your A* path finding doesn't take a straight line - it does a weird 90 degree turn somewhere along the line to get to an area which in turn causes (sometimes) it to take a 1 move longer run than if I did it myself. So say 10 hex moves instead of 9. Also this strange path finding makes it harder to cut off an enemy or avoid one.

We need to be able to blockade the slip stream lines. I had a fleet sitting on the beginning / exit of the slip stream and enemy fleets can just cruise right on by without engaging which should be a no no

Starbases should not be avoidable (possibly only Military Bases) if at war within their ZOC. You should have to fight to get by them or go around the ZOC. I can cruise right on by via 1 hex between us and they don't really do anything.

Also can you make an option that colony planets don't show the icons as it really clutters the map. Just show planet color which is fine. Along the same lines let my turn the sub galactic background to a black screen. Again too much clutter.

Race color issues. Multiple races can pick the same or very similar colors. My race was blue and a NPC was also blue and cruised right by my defenses because I didn't notice as it looked like my ships. I shouldn't have to manually pick all the colors so they don't blend

I strongly agree with this

Specially the nameplates question for the colonies. Its really confusing

I really do not want blockading of slip stream lines.  I have always hated that in any other space-based 4x game that I played.

I totally agree with being able to turn off the background stuff, so you can just play on a flat black map. All that background "clutter" often makes it very hard to see stuff that is actually important. I also mentioned that before in another post.

Happy Monday!
