Hi All, I used to get full battles in galciv2 but I haven't seen any since having Dark Avatar. I'm sure I've got everything set right, full battles etc, see my ships etc, but nothing. I've had only a few minor scraps at the moment and they were away from planetary defences. I just got a shot or two fired in the main map then an explosion. Am I doing something wrong as I'd love to see the full 3D action. Cheers Jim

Hi All, The reason I ask the question is simply this... I'm currently running a game on my laptop, however I'd like to move the current game onto my PC also. It would be nice to move my latest games from one machine to the other and continue playing the latest save on whatever machine is handy at the time. Any help? Thanks

Hi All, Currently running a game on the laptop downstairs as I simply can't get away from the game even though I have a 5 month old daughter One thing that makes things difficult right now is that I can't zoom in and out on the main map, and all references in the manual are that you run it with a three button mouse with a mouse wheel. Any help would be much appreciated.

The game is fab, but I have to agree that SDC is pretty naff actually. Its a minefield of a 'thing' and not too pleasent. It isn't helped by the fact that we all seem only able to download at modem speed when most of us are now on 8meg connections etc.

Ok finally got it. I've just updated the game, and tried loading it and it says 1.2 beta. Its because it didn't say that it was the beta that was updating that confused me. Thank you chap for helping me out so fast, its always frustrating when you love a game like this and want to get all the latest goodies for it. Thanks again.

Thanks for the help, but have to admit, this isn't the easiest thing to follow. I've opened up SDC and can't find anything near the bottom relating to 'show pre release' Can you be more spacific. Hi All, I didn't want to create a new post for what is essentially the same question.... Right I've started a new game and deselected all options for victory, however... I'm then left with the only obvious conclusion for victory which is conquest. Will this encorage the computer AI to act aggressively and generally create genecide all over the universe or is that not the case. If I'm understanding this correctly you haven't noticed the victory conditions check boxes when you start a game. You can turn off each of the 4 victory conditions on one of the screens when you start a game. Ben you're a star. Hi All, Love the game lots, but I want to customise it a little. I've downloaded the Kingon ship update but can't get them to apear in the game and I'm following the instructions exactly. I can't get downloaded logo's to show up either, again the instructions were followed (not difficult either). I'm running 1.1. Please help
