I had cataract surgery in 2014 two weeks apart. I got an artificial lens in each eye to replace those clouded by the cataracts. Everything went well. For the first eye I had a plastic shield taped over my eye area until the next morning. I went back to the eye doctor for it to be removed, then my vision was checked. I made a bug report about this event in the 3.01 sitrep on Discord on July 16. The bug report was because it isn't clear how many planets it works on. I started a new game, then updated the report the next day to report that it actually reduced crime on all planets, because it did reduce the crime on all my planets. This means it works. I remember having this problem last year. I "solved" it by no longer using /nolauncher. I just tried it again, and it still doesn't work, exactly as snarfo67 described. When I first checked the save I thought it was early in the game. I just checked again. The save is at turn 23 . How did some AI get Planetary Invasion that early in order to trade it? This is not a bug. It is because of the game design. A transport requires a soldier. Soldiers are unlocked by the Planetary Mobilization tech, which comes before the Planetary Invasion tech, which unlocks transports. You do not have the Planetary Mobilization tech, so you can't make a soldier to load onto the transport. I'm working on getting a save before the space monsters destroy a commander ship to see if it happens all the time or a lot or rarely. I've finally found some space monsters and am sending some commander ships to them. After they get there, I'll see what happens and go from there. I hope I'm able to get a save where it consistantly happens so I can submit a bug report with it. If it happens, it will be submitted on Discord.

I've had this happen several times. It happens when a space monster destroys the commander ship. This causes a new space monster infant to appear. For some reason, probably a bug, the commander gets transferred to the infant, and they both appear in the list of commander ships. You can still interact with the commander. <b

I've reviewed this and found 52 places where ship was used in ShipClassDefs.xml when it probably shouldn't be there. A quick search and replace fixed it for me in a mod. I haven't tried the mod to see if anything was messed up by the change. I think it will take more than a quick fix to fix it and make sure it didn't break anything.

I think there is a problem with the way the game communicates with Steam to remove a civ. Steam stores zip files of everything downloaded from its workshop in a local directory. Since I have GalCiv4 installed on drive D, the location is D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\1357210 on my computer.
