Hi Volusianus, Well not from a political perspective but a representative of racial ethnicities. By 2060 it's hypothesized that caucasians will be less than 10% of the world's population. With the largest group still being han chinese. I was just saying, I would like to see a more global inclusive representation in our games, and this is the perfect time to present this suggestion now, instead of later. And I'm saying this as a caucasian male. That being sa

Hi n0vast0rm, I've been a part of many kickstarters/early access/etc with that initial say, and if I don't like how it appears I comment on it, if I do like how it appears I comment on it. If I'm in the middle of the road.. I state as such. In this case, my post may of come across as if people shouldn't complain, or discuss, but that wasn't the intent of my post. My expectations had been skewed to expect something that was unpleasant because I re
As far as the art for the Human commander. I'm going to be openly honest here. I want diversity and would like to see someone other than a red headed white female as the commander. Earth is home to an incredibly diverse range of different peoples. I would like to see that somehow represented for the human commander. I'm happy to see that the commander is a female. That's a great step, but let's also consider that there is an entire
What I'm looking for out of these voice auditions is pretty specific. From a personal stand point, if this person is the Human Commander, that says strong leader. Ironically only the last voice felt remotely close, and yet not quite good enough in my mind. What I want out of the voice is someone with a memorable voice like Michelle Forbes, who played Admiral Helena Cain on Battlestar Galactica, Admiral of the Pegasus. I'm not looking for "
I looked at the video, and my first thought, was that, it seemed novel. It was a nice glimpse at the idea being presented. I had read the forums here first before having watched any of the Feb stuff, and was expecting it to somehow be this demonstrably bad view, based upon what folks here were kvetching about. The fear and or dislike of this view is clearly what the testing purpose is for. To see what some folks think. I'm withholding any real
I'm not super fond of comical cartoon style art. In that I don't like it much. I do get why this MUST have an attractive distinctive style. But if those planetary nubs were dialed down a bit.. until say a ship comes in for a closer look, then I would be less concerned. All that being said, and obviously iterated on for the last 7 pages for both sides of the perspective. All you can do is take a look and see how it feels. We'll provide feedback and be a single point
Heavenfall, Thanks for getting this uploaded!! I've been jonesing to try it out, and looking forward to it! Thank you again for your hard work and perseverance.
Nothing wrong with adding ogres or bandits or Edar or Iru or Sion's and Drath.. but there isn't a reason why they couldn't put out some traditional fantasy race packs and those of us who ARE interested in them can purchase them. And no one loses any skin off their nose as they are simply just another option for that person's game.. hence the non-canon where it applies. And this isn't nerd rage this is simply folks saying that Brad mentioned he'd
Hi Brad, Just have to say, I'm finally enjoying Elemental. Fallen Enchantress is really what I expected Elemental War of Magic to have been. That having been said, I have been talking well of it of late, and shared that with my 880+ followers on G+. And I expect to talk more about it in the future as well. But I have to be honest here with you. A map pack shouldn't be where you set your metric for interest in DLC. This game came with the actual tools to
Tried this mod this morning... Really enjoying the wide open spaces, and the many option's for city placement's. Great job Jam3!
I'm looking forward to when you guys put this out.. I like the sentiment behind making a Summoner a real option. So please keep us apprised on future updates with this!
Thanks Heavenfall, I'll give it a shot when I get home in the morning.
I've started to make my own maps. And while I remember it was a bit tempermental, what I'm finding is that I don't know how to add the values of Grain/Material/Essence to a map. So that I can decide what is a 4/2/3 or whatever.. I found a "Mod" option in the drop downs that allows me to in theory put something with essence down from 1-9, but when I click on it nothing happens. One I'm assuming I'm not clicking correctly, probabl
Duplicate message. Please respond to the other one please.
Hey Brad, Couple of notes. None of which are to bag on you, or the game or the team. 1. The White Tactical Battle screen.. Uhm actually, I reported it time after time during Beta. Not to mention it was in my beta videos. And I also made sure to provide dropbox files, for it and even went so far as to include screen shots. 1a. So if you didn't know that, then there was a failure somewhere, because it was reported. 2. I'm glad you're looking
Brad, continue to give apologies as you feel the need. They are cathartic. Part of the problem as you mentioned was this was your baby. And while we all know it would of been better come February and another stage of beta. You were too close to it. And though you could of created a great game by February. I still think because of the flaws, it wouldn't of been right. It takes these type of events, to knock you flat on your ass, seeing stars.. to get you to get back up. And kno
Funny thing is I was playing recently and noticed it didn't cost anything to build a city.. even though I was mentally playing the older style.. (not that I was totally fond of that one either.. especially for my 14x14 sized world..) I'm sure a happy medium will come about.. or after all of this they will listen to my organic satellite communities (ideas I've written profusely about) sprouting up to simulate society recovering ...
They are minor factions, as others have said. I've modded 21 new ones for my own, for my The Giant Faege world. But they don't go anywhere.. they lack ambition.
An issue that I find currently odd, and something that I did post about during beta. But as powerful as people say a Channeler is. Their spells often do squat for damage. And yet giving them a bow, so they can do something every round feels bassackwards. There should be a base spell that costs NO mana. That represents a standard ball of damaging magic the caster can use, every round. It's something that was learned in D&D (took until 4th edition), but a player should be able
Well, just played a full 45 minutes, without any crashes, slowdowns or errors. And I've had battle after battle.. and now no more white screen of doom or battle slowdown! This was a huge fix for me! Thanks Stardock people!
Let me put it to you this way. I've built a massive world. I've populated it with tons of resources, but there are TONS of monsters so you need actual armies just to keep your kingdom/empire from being consumed by them. I've modded in 21 different Minor Factions. Each with their own ruler. And they vary, some are good, some are evil.. some are fallen some are men.. Now that I've updated my Nvidia Drivers to 258.17 or whatever .. I'm not getting the white screen of death.
This game is quite amazing. In the version I'm playing, I'm running on the map I built in beta, updated to the new resources. I've titled it The Giant Faege. I've also got 25 custom minor factions, and they've each got custom leaders. In general, I'm excited about the game, and can't wait to see what else comes down the pipe. (Well that and figure out how I'm to upload my minor factions and custom leaders to the mods section.)
Nice mea culpa Brad. Most of the complaints will be knocked out in a few days. They always are by you guys. It's almost as if people are jumping down your guy's throats in the hopes that you'll fail. But.. for the record.. I'm having a great time.. it's addicting.. (I'm doing the video conversion right now on several videos..) and since I've updated to the latest Nvidia 258 drivers, no white screen of doom. (Though there are unusual slow downs after a few turns, but then again I'm run
[quote who="Frogboy" reply="52" id="2730783"]My biggest problem with the article is the quote he took out of context. Qt3 isn't just some random site. It's my home away from home. And Ben Sones isn't some random forum poster, he's a friend of mine (FB friend and all) and when he called v1.0 an "early beta" I admit, it ticked me off and I snapped back. I shouldn't have said it and I regret saying it, but for PC Gamer to take that comment without any context and put it out there is c
This update has done wonders! I'm still getting some slow down, but on my map with all it's got going on, that doesn't even remotely surprise me! I think I should design a smaller version but still in my style.. with tons of minor nations and what not.. using what I learned.. Could be quite interesting.
