I use DEXPOT (www.dexpot.de). I would use SD Virtual desktops except for a few features: 1. Speed. Switching desktops with SDVD is much slower than DEXPOT. 2. Desktop Preview is totally handy for me. This is where a tiled view of all your desktops appears on the screen and you can just click on one. 3. Window Preview does the same thing but shows each window in the current desktop. 4. Concise view (dextab).
How can I get semi-transparent dragging with a per-pixel skin? WindowFX disallows this...
I like semi-transparent windows when dragging, but, unfortunately, the Aura skin is a "per-pixel" skin. My video card (ATI x1300) supports PixelShader2.0. Is there some way I can edit the skin to allow for this?
Got it. Unload/reload WindowFX and it tells me that I can't use semitransparent windows on a per-pixel skin. So it's "pilot error". Too bad you can't be told about that when you set the skin in WindowBlinds...
First, fabulous product! But... I have WindowFX loaded and selected moderately "semi transparent" windows when dragging. This works fine in the default Windows XP skin. Using Window blinds (latest version as of 18:09 PST on 1/31/07), selecting the Aura theme gives me the semi-transparent border for static windows, but no transparency when dragging. I assume I'm doing something wrong (or it's a bug/doc issue). Ideas?
... likely due to the wierd application rather than WindowFX: MS Money doesn't update accounts when transition effects are applied. Disable WindowFX for Money and things work fine. McAfee internet suite apps don't work when launched from the tray. Disabling WindowFX for the app and things are fine.
The current set of window transitions doesn't seem to have something like this. Thanks!
