i too couldn't get bootskin(tried all versions & always got BSOD on restart saying error with driver vidstub) to work on my computer but after i installed a bootskin changer software i noticed that now i can use bootskin correctly.it add some lines in my default boot.ini & now i don't even have to install it anymore.i just copied my changed boot.ini & whenever i have to reinstall xp i simply copy this to original boot.ini & bootskin works perfectly. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles

well one of my friends computer crashed a few months ago & when we installed pc cilin on his computer it founded 10000 viruses(no typo error!!! & it was still scanning when we decided to format his hard disk) & my friend told us he was running his computer for almost 3 yrs. with no anti virus.

switch to desktopx client by right clicking on the desktopx builder icon in the system tray.as long as you are running desktopx builder mode you can't lock down the desktop.before switching save the changes you have made by double clicking on the builder icon & then choosing option"save desktop as".

bootskin workaround in OS Customization WinCustomize Forums

When i first came across stardock products i was using stylexp but after using desktopx & wb the only os customization softwares i use are stardock products.However one product which i could not use for a long time was bootskin(i got the sane blue screen of death saying something about vidstub.sys error on reboot after installing & applying a boot screen).I had to use stylexp only to change bootscreen & i tried all bootskin versions but no effect.in th

I also had the same problem.Just switch to desktopx builder by double clicking its .exe file located in installation folder of desktopx.In desktopx 3.1 u can do it by right clicking on desktopx icon in system tray.
