4 to 6 hours per turn. Really? I seriously doubt that. #1, what version are you playing. #2, Automatic end of turn is an issue that we've all complained about, but how does that impact the length of your turns other than cutting them shorter than you'd like? #3, I'm playing 1.60.457293 and at turn 367 there is no slow down at all, my game setup is almost identical to yours and my rig isn't as good. If you're having issues with lag at 100 turns try posting a saved
So far, 2023 has been a bit of a bust in terms of finding a good book. Will check out Safehold.
While I would also highly recommend "Off Armageddons Reef", I think it only fair to tell you that it was published in 2007 and the series is now up to 10 very long (over 600 pages each) novels. If you get hooked you'll be in for a long ride [e digicons][/e]
Just got it again (Boris the #&*%#) in 1.60.457293.1
Do not use criminals to colonize new planets unless you have a prison improvement to use because you'll just create new criminals on a new world. Getting the Orbital Prison solves most crime problems. I definitely use them on constructors, no down side to that that I've seen. Got the Outland reference Colonel. That's not one of his best movies, but I love Sean Connery.
I know everyone agreed that this needs to be resolved, but you still can't access citizens above 10 per planet (no access via scroll to third or greater row).
Currently the only way I know of to get an AI race to show you where their Civ is located, is to open an Exploration Treaty. Unfortunately that requires relations to be a +2 or better, and of course Navigators can't do treaties. It would be nice if they added an option under the "I have something else in mind" dialog tree like "I would like to send a trade ship to your Capital, would you reveal its location for 500 credits?". There is a "one per Galaxy" improvement called
Started a new game in both EPIC and Steam Insiders. They were both compatible with all 4 versions. My saved game that wouldn't load now also loads in Steam Insiders. I'd say problem fixed.
I am personally going to celebrate so much once the map makers in order
I hope someone is working on this. I have the settings on max everything. Still only getting one sector per AI Civ. Not what I'd call a huge Galaxy open for exploration.
I keep getting the Praxis and all other unique ships multiple times in every game I played so far up to and including the latest insider 1.6 versions. I thought this was just something that had to be accepted.
Actually is was supposed to be fixed in the last update, but it didn't work, so they're going to take another look at it.
I also just tried starting a new game on EPIC Supernova Insiders (1.60.457293). I get the same error message when I try to load it in Steam Supernova Insiders - https://www.dropbox.com/s/bvyfsv2l8t7n1cb/Supernova%20Insider%201.60.457293.2.001.GC4Sav?dl=0 <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/18/60/1860429/55baa76c-e82c-435b-af7a-a2cda60c49ff.png" alt="" wi
Send a save with explanation of what happened, devs need it.
I would have posted one, except RammaStardock already has a couple of saves from this game from other posts [e digicons]:digichet:[/e] I'll PM him to make sure he sees this post.
Yep, it's a know bug. RammaStardock added it to his list. Now he knows it's being seen by multiple people [e digicons]:digichet:[/e]
No way gypsy, dumb people are not seekers of knowledge, they don't ask questions, they'd just continue on in blissful ignorance [e digicons]*_*[/e] So here's what I've done as follow up. I reset Steam to regular Supernova 1.60.457293 (removed Insider Beta) and the game ran just fine. I reset Steam to Insider Beta and got the error message. Opened EPIC regular Supernova 1.60.457293 and the game ran fine. Opened EPIC Supernova Insider 1.60.457293 and
Paul - I had reported the same bug & RammaStardock said he was going to log it. I actually got it twice in one game.
Confucius says - There are no dumb questions, only dumb people [e digicons][/e]
Gypsy2299 - Yes you're just a little confused [e digicons]B)[/e] Epic actually had Supernova up before Steam and it has an Insider edition just like Steam. It's Steam that doesn't have the non-Supernova edition and never will. The 2 platforms are totally compatible because there is only one set of GalCiv IV files on your computer and they share them. Like I said I've had no problem switching between the two before this.
Saves from before 1.60 are not compatible with this update. For one there was a change to the custom Civ UI and also one of the settings UI
Gypsy2299 - this is not an old save. I Downloaded 1.60.457293 from EPIC and started a new game. It won't play on Steam. I get the error message posted above. First time I ever had this issue switching back & froth between EPIC and Steam.
I loaded the Supernova Insiderer's update 1.60.457293 on EPIC, but when I load Steam, which is also set to Insiders, it gives this error message. Verifying files on Steam did not help.
So once you see this once or twice, it infects every event?
Yes, that's exactly what happens, it keeps going with every event that needs a picture. The saves I sent should hopefully show that, but like I said, if I quit and reload they go back to normal, so this may not be able to be seen even with a save. I could send the save from the very beginning of the game if that would help. If I'm the only one s
Duplicate unique ship events still happening - of course it's "Boric the Unending"
Bad link on situation report.
Once this starts it won't stop until I save the game & restart. https://www.dropbox.com/s/bs77jqgos8srzir/Supernova%20Insider%201.60.457293.1.1016.GC4Sav?dl=0 That's 5 in a row. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/1
Still getting the slum fire picture repeat multiple times on events that should have (and do) their own picture. https://www.dropbox.com/s/4cmdbifvvt0awxu/Supernova%20Insider%201.60.457293.1.1013.GC4Sav?dl=0 <img src="https://
I just got it again on turn 125, so it definitely has a broken link in the code.
This has to be the weirdest home system I've ever gotten. Your algorithm still doesn't understand the meaning of abundant planets and stars, but it's learned what abundant resources means [e digicons]:P[/e]
