Do the bonus hit points also raise faction power and/or game scores?
I have no idea how Faction Power and game scores are calculated. I don't see any way to get details on those in the game.

If you're talking about starting the clock for the "Time played" achievements in Steam and Epic, you just play the game. Both of those platforms keep a log of how long you've been playing any game, and that's what is used to trigger the achievement.
In the base GC4 on Epic you couldn't get more than one type of each ship upgrade. If you had one in the queue and didn't use it before discovering another of the same type you'd lose the new one. I wasn't aware that this had been changed for Supernova. If it has been I'd certainly support scifi1950's suggestion.
I didn't know that. I just assumed they stacked. They shouldn't get taken away jus
So basically what I'm suggesting is an enhancement to the Custom Civ creation/Edit process. Add a new dropdown, probably to the Abilities tab, that would let you pick the Civilization Factions (limit 3) using a dropdown like Civ Traits. I originally asked this question on the Q&A in May 2022 and a Dev responded that they would look into adding this feature. https://forums.galciv4.com/512144/get;3850644
This screen should have a drop down that tells you how many points you're accumulating per turn and where they're coming from, please and thank you [e digicons]B)[/e]
Please add the ability to scroll or input quantity when buying or selling in the Galactic Bazaar like we can do when trading. Having to mouse click quantities more than ten is a royal pain [e digicons]B)[/e]
I always thought it was just to let you know which planets would get the stat boosts in case you wanted to convert them to core worlds. It may be that once upon a time Colonies did get the boost and they didn't change the starbase display when they changed the mechanic. BTW - I tested one of my systems with an empty planet in the ZOC of 3 starbases and its base stats did not change when I colonized it.
I know this one has been reported before, but the wording for the Freemind Center is still wrong -
I've brought this up before and thought it was going to be added, but don't know if it's on the list or not. It would really be nice to have the ability to pick the Factions we want for our custom Civ., not be stuck with the grouping from one of the prebuilt Civs.
I've asked for this before but I think it's needed so I'll ask again. We really need to have a count of the number of add-on modules of each type available in order to properly plan which Commander/Prototype ships to use them on. Same as you do with the Artifacts in the Vault. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/18/60/1860429/1a91
No. Not to my knowledge. Only core worlds.
That is my understanding also.
I go back to GalCiv I so I guess that qualifies me as a longtime player. I bought the base GalCiv IV game when it came out and while I enjoyed it, I would say it was basically just a prettier version of previous games. I got into the Supernova beta when it came out and I've been testing and commenting on all the new features Stardock has been working on. I will tell you that there has been a tremendous amount of effort put in by the Stardock team to make this version of GalC
I am playing a "Godlike" game and I am seeing what you are describing. The first screen snapshot shows an Onyx Hive fleet that has 37 ships in a fleet with 3151 total hit points and a Logistics limit of 164. However, 2 can play at that game! The second screen snapshot below shows one of my fleets. It has only 11 ships with a Logistics limit of only 94, but it has 38,550 total hit points. How did the hi
Research "Orbital Repair" which unlocks Caretaker Ships that can repair damage each turn when attached to a fleet.
Have you tried the normal version of the game (on epic)? I saw it got an update that insiders edition didn't get. Someone might have uploaded the files to the wrong version.
I just tried that & the non-insiders Supernova on Epic is still running 1.96.
I'm using the Epic launcher and it's not updating.
I just tried my Epic launcher and it didn't update, so the issue seems to be between Stardock and Epic, not you.
Did this drop yet? I'm not getting the update.
I got it on Steam Insiders version around 7pm.
So these new Orbitals are upgrades to the "Orbital Academy", but it says they are Civilization Achievements, so the AI shouldn't be able to stack multiples of the Orbital. I'm guessing this was a glitch that got fixed, or is going to be fixed.
You chose poorly I think you need to roll the dice again [e d
They really bumped up the AI bonuses in "Godlike" because they said we asked for it [e digicons]}:)[/e] I'm playing on easy, because I like to be the Civ inflicting the pain. So having AI civs come up with fleets like these was totally mind blowing [e digicons]x_x[/e]
Zichella1 - I've had an AI Civ with enhanced Fleets attack me in my last 2 games - game over. My buffed Command ships totally worthless. I'm not sure how to get them either. I agree, they're not in the Tech Tree that I can see. I also checked all the Ideologies under Cultural Progression and didn't see anything there. Maybe one of the existing Orbitals that I don't normally use unlocks them? I'll check that out in a new game today. Sure hope
Does anyone else find this an undesirable outcome? There's no competing with this. Everyone has to get these Orbital enhancements as quickly as possible or lose to any Civ that has them. <i
There is no official manual, but this link should have enough info to get you started - https://forums.galciv4.com/512141/community-guides-list
Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Give a shoutout if you have any questions, there's always someone around willing to help.
