A few things: 1. Speedtest.net and other speed tests are not always reliable. A lot of providers, especially cable 'net providers, will "burst" high throughput for a short time. Your various speed test sites will show more bandwidth than you can get for a sustained period. It's good to bear this in mind. This usually, but not always, affects download speed rather than upload speed. 2. The L4D thing made me think... I wonder why a game like that can be asyncronous and cli

I want to chime in with my support of a "party display" (as in most MMOs) showing the icon, name, health, and mana of your teammates. Along the left in the ususal fashion would work, as would across the top. The chat should be moved from center-left anyway. ;) I really ran into this problem this past weekend, where it's hard to see how much health your teammates have, and impossible to see their mana, so it's hard to coordinate when you'll attack and when you'll hang back. I would think 1.1 should concentrate on the relatively easy-to-do improvements and updates. Your list is good, although I think a "factor of 10" is maybe too much of a favor boost. over 1,000 favor for a single match? Maybe a factor of... 5 or 6. Concede, smart-quitting, and random demigod choice are all great ideas. Okay, so, the wishlist for 1.1: 1. A tutorial. Seriously. We've all heard it before, the cries of the community and reviewers were not wrong. It will help with lo

I have this bug, too. Stuck at 155 favor points with one purchased item. I played 6 games yesterday, with 5 wins. Stats appear to be recorded properly on the website. But my favor never changes.

Update after several more games: - Initial connect seems pretty solid, but connection stability is an issue. It's not uncommon to lose a player, and I don't think they're all just "rage quitting." - Favor still does not update for me. I have no idea if favor is stored locally or on Impulse or what. I've looked at a bunch of recently changed files in the various game directories and can't find any sort of obvious culprit. Let me tell you, it's pretty annoying to have 15

So far, connectivity is much improved. I haven't had any problems connecting to other people and getting a game started. However, in one game a player dropped - might have been "rage quit" and might have been a disconnect. In another game, I somehow lost connection with everyone else. After a VERY brief connection window thing, I found myself playing with three AIs, instead of three players. So initial connections look good. I'm not sure how stable the whole thin

I'm glad you come forward with this kind of info. 3 or 4 packets a second is miserable. That's a really weird setting, even for a client-server game. To put that in perspective, most modern-era PC shooters use a network frame rate (for lack of a better term) of 20Hz. That is, your PC sends data about its state to the server 20 times a second, and receives data on the state of the world 20 times a second. If your actual graphics framerate is higher (let's say 60fps), then the l

1. What if your PC/router/etc have good UPnP support? Will the game at least try to open the ports and do a direct connect, and if it fails, then go to the NAT server? 2. Hear me out on this - I think you're going about the whole "demo" thing all wrong. Pirates download the full Demigod, but they don't get the latest version so it has bugs, and they can't play "legit" online. You currently don't do anything to stop this, but rather try to add value to legit customers.</p
