I was invited at the last minute to be a panelist at an event in NYC called "Ladies on the Mic"... the panel topic is "How to use your art for social change". I'm quite nervous about this and think I made a mistake. But then I realized why i'm doing it - exposure, why else? It's always about exposure with me. I wonder if other artists do things for the same reason all the time. I will post the results tomorrow, but off the bat, the real question is not how can I use my art for social change

No, I have not been living under a rock. Quite the opposite, actually. You miss my point entirely. For the media to determine who should be allowed to debate and who shouldn't, and to base that determination on MONEY and POLLS is NOT DEMOCRACY.

Last night, I realized I feel like a ghost... I float through life and time always waiting for something. At least today, a pending gig wrote to me and told me they are going to book someone else because they haven't yet received our press kit. So that wait is over... there's some closure there. But still waiting waiting waiting on two others. Waiting waiting waiting to receive a video in the mail from someone who shot it for the band in August. Waiting waiting waiting to

Spoke to a management company today. They could get blue number nine paying gigs in nice places. That's what the guy told me. I won't mention the name of the company and I'm not sure we'll end up working with them. Because they really want a cover band. Which frustrates me to no end because the person who highly recommended us to them is a person they trust. The guy told me he trusts that person. And I know if they saw us live, they wouldn't know which were the covers and which weren't.

I am at the day job right now feeling like I want to break out but at the same time, unable to get my ass out of my chair and walk the 5 blocks to the gym. Too much pent up frustration over blue number nine due to pending gigs and no one getting back to me. Even calling and saying, "YOU SUCK - WE DON'T WANT YOU" is better than the avoidance tactic. So I'm going to have to write them because I'm talking about pending gigs for Dec. 26th and Dec. 31st... dates around holidays. People in the ban
