A customised YOR type artificial/ species being my goto I am extremely anticipating experiencing the NYX. Tyvm Devs. p.s. a bridge too far ? .. allow other species to develop artificial forms ?

Then perhaps others besides myself could point this out to the devs as a feature request.
Ops repeatedly asked about Hyperlanes that a player could build as were implemented late in GalCiv 3. Devs said NO !!! NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN. Enjoy the impossibility getting strategic reinforcements to an isolated far distant colony to fend off a surprise attack.
Not having often played much past 150 turns I've not often needed to buy/sell large quantities. Having some form of popup/dialog would help QOL for that use case. Perhaps even provision for purchasing several types of resources in the same dialog could be considered.
afaik, one can "mouse click" on the "0" and then enter whatever quantity is required ?
This mod is still creating incredible hours long startup times while creating a new game while online to Steam.
While online this mod throw's the following error .. While starting a new game ("quickstart") of GC4 with my Steam client in 'online' mode this mod hangs GC4 at the 'finalising' startup screen. Running with the Steam client in 'offline' mode CG4 starts a new game normally.
On my starting GC4 this mod is throwing the following error message .. C:\Users\ops20\OneDrive\Documents\My Games\GalCiv4\Mods\Illauna-TargetPriorities\Data\Gameplay\IllaunaBattleBehaviorDefs.xml(4,19): error: no declaration found for element 'BattleBehavior' C:\Users\ops20\OneDrive\Documents\My Games\GalCiv4\Mods\Illauna-TargetPriorities\Data\Gameplay\IllaunaBattleBehaviorDefs.xml(20,18): error: element 'BattleBe
Draver has posted a modding guide over at Steam. Thank you Draver. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3053849809
I notice that there are no workshop civilisation mods posted which are dated more recently than 1st October and that uploading civilisations from Galciv IV is greyed out. I am being asked to login to the workshop ???
I believe that it would be really really useful if somebody could write a guide on how to write/create mods. For instance. I would like to create habitats/colonies in space like those which were proposed for orbital lagrange points by the L5 society. Is that even possible to mod ???
Will modders be able to create non YOR synthetic citizens with variant characteristics ? Will modders have the capacity to create non-planetary based species ? Will modders have the power to determine the outcome of a terraforming project ? Will modders have the ability to invent hypergates/hyperlanes ?
Yes. In your list of buildable Improvements the item at the head of the list with the one turn build time is your capital. Drag it to where you wish to build it and it will appear on that hex when you drop it.
Ops has seen this as well. Destroy home world capital. The list of buildable improvements now includes infrastructure normally only available on 'core' worlds like 'supply depot'. Build a supply depot and one is no longer able to build the 'capital' infrastructure.
Please include an option for a top down map view as distinct from the default tilted/perspective view ?
Thank you all for your replies. SchismNavigator. Stardock 'appears' to "maintain independant downloaders, managers and various apparatus to handle payment processing etc." for it's other software but not GalCiv ? Falconer. I remember being shocked in my early days at Steam at somehow receiving a readout of the information Steam had collected on me. Which included the exact hardware and ALL installed software details of every system I had ever logged in with. This i
Will it be possible to run galciv iv as a normal standalone program without having to launch through or connected with some totally superfluous privacy busting client from epic/steam/gog et al !?!?!?
How about ... A silicon based totally space bourne species which evolved in a space bourne ecosystem in a very energetic class O or A star system. Totally new tech tree including, for instance, techs to colonise and exploit less energetic star systems and even (gasp !!!) planets. Imagine said species taming apex predators (Tiger, Shark and Elephant analogues oh my !!!) for use as weapons. Great cities in space supported by silicoid 'farmlands'. Possibly imagined
