Does the research disappear completely, or does it just disappear from the discounted techs on the left of the screen? Is it included in the list on the right side of the screen, but you aren't looking there? I suspect you may be looking at Nova rather than the base game, but... The Carriers tech is there, but not available as a research option. As you can see, I

I've found that my current research project is abruptly deselected, is no longer available for selection, and I'm required to choose a new research project. This has happened upon a couple of key research projects: Orbital ship assembly (Medium hulls) disappears, and I had to research Large Hull Construction before it re-appears as an option. Carrier disappears, and I'm now trudging through Planetary Defense Dome. I suspect what has happened i
that specific ai may have not unlocked it Yes, if that's the case then that does explain why the civilization would be willing to sell me the durantium for less than it can be sold at the Bazaar. However I don't think it explains the floor in the sell price to 10 credits. I've literally clicked my way through several thousand sales which probably should have made the price of durantium worthless.
From role play perspective, one could say, that you are just making good trades (e.g. buying low, selling high) I see what you're saying, but this doesn't fit the model for arbitrage. Going long and buying low to sell high usually requires taking on some risk. In that case, the value may decrease over time. There is no risk in this scenario, I literally buy and sell straight-a
The price of durantium at the Galactic Bazaar is floored to 10 credits. When trading with a civilisation that has an abundance of durantium it values each unit at much less than 10 credits. So if you're short of credits, buy durantium at less than 10 credits per unit from that civilisation (or trade tech) then hammer the sell button over the durantium icon at the Galactic Bazaar to short out the cashflow problem. I think the above is indicative of a bug in the economy model, and while
Stardock. Right, that saved game is doomed. Back-tracking to here to achieve goal 2.
There's a general critique of 4x games that they reach the tipping point prematurely, and then you know the game is won. For instance: https://steamcommunity.com/app/226860/discussions/1/2595630410193901329/?l=finnish&ctp=3 I'm 70hrs into my current campaign, and prior games would dictate I'd won. So I duly started giving away fleets to allies and generalising my
A challenge. I'm not sure if this is even a thing without mods, but I'd be interested if someone would also take up the challenge to get this save game to prestige %125. In order to achieve this, I suspect you'll need to make one of three choices: 1. Take on t
Current save game . You can see it jumps from sector to sector as it moves through the ships requiring instruction.
Thank you for the report, would you be kind enough to share your save file of the game? To be clear you're saying it would be more helpful if the ships changed to all of the ones in the same sector before moving to the next correct? Yes.
Where would you me like to save the game to? They're ~25Mb large so not sure a straight upload back to this forum is appropriate.
In my current game I'm in control of about 4.5 sectors. As the turn progresses and I move from ship to ship, I also jump from sector to sector. This is very dis-orientating, I have to keep on scrolling out to see what sector I'm in. If the turns completed per sector then I'd be able to keep just the current sector in context. That will accelerate each turn.
Oh, no, my mistake, here they come....
I'm at war with the Corporate Sector, who are annoyed with me but more mad with the Mimot Brotherhood. We're all at war but my sector sits between them. It's quite clear what I need to do. Just make two star-bases on either side of the tunnels, and smash the enemies as they come through. They don't seem to care very much about my continuous ambushes and just keep on trotting through. Now I'm happy with winning, but I really don't think the A.I should get itself into this mess. It's al
If you're too lazy download civilisations from the workshop like me, don't forgot to rename each civilisation when you copy them. It was pretty confusing sharing a sector with two Altarian civilisations, one friendly, one not.
I was attempting to create a large map game with 28 opponents. I was unable to start the game because of the "No opponent selected please select at least one opponent" validation message. I was adding the addition opponents by dragging the random opponent card into the opponent listing. The UI also behaved a bit strangely because whenever I attempted to click on one of the random opponents to assign them to a team, it would then reset the number of opponents back to 17. It appears tha
