Update: this is NOT an version issue, it's a feature that can be tuned by options in "General". Problem solved! Notepad3+Groupy make perfect daily text editing experience, in Groupy 2.12. Nicely done! I've tried beta release 2.20 before while that old beta verion presists this issue. This verion of beta release solved the problem, everything works fine now. Thanks for your reply, well for " Word/Excel/PowerPoint" it's just an exmaple, IMHO there could be an option to set any "set of applications " to be grouped automatically. I drew an UI illustration to explain this:
