I just came across this list. It's a goody....... The Conservative Dictionary in totally random order.... ACLU Bad, because they defend parts of the Bill of Rights NRA Good, because they defend parts of the Bill of Rights Criminal Someone who breaks the law, unless the law has anything to do with guns, selling arms to Iran, or refusing to pay your taxes. In those cases, you are a...<B

Today's poor are rich compared to the wealthy a century ago. Tell that to those who cannot afford health care for a sick child. Tell that to an elderly person who must decide whether to eat or take meds. Tell that to a parent who has no money to buy a decent meal for his/her kids. Tell them that they

I was thinking about writing an article about why I think conservatives are conservatives, why republicans are republicans and why in hell they cannot, or refuse to put together the facts that would make the sanest of people go hmmmmmmm......................... In other words, it seems to me that republicans refuse to accept facts, but instead rely solely o

Even those with "lack of will" have children. Are those children responsible for the poverty into which they were born? Hell no. But, unless targeted educational opportunities are provided, they will likely never learn that they can rise above the plight of poverty. I'm not talking about the public schools alone. Besides, it's no secret that public schools in inner cities and other poor areas are not equitable with schools in more affluent areas.

I just checked the link and it works just fine for me. Maybe you should check the settings on your computer. It's a Quicktime move.

There are an astounding number of similarities between the Patriot Act, here in the US, and the Nazi playbook. While I wouldn't go so far as to call the dubya admins Nazis, I do think they are definitely moving in that direction. As far as this dubious war on terrorism, yeah, I agree. It's lost. The terrorists won. They have caused one of the worst knee jerking clamp down of rights in our countries. To me, that's a win for them. For cris

have a nice cup of stfu, because I wasn't speaking to you in the first place. No can do. You weren't speaking to me, but you were quoting me. I completely disagree with you that freedom from religion is not within the constitution. But, you just spin it like you want, and who cares that people

In a democracy, if I choose to no longer discuss the relevance of a subject, that is my right. If I feel that separation of church and state is right, good for me, as that is the law of the land. If you think that religion should be infused into government, then you can do what you want to change that, but right now, it's unconstitutional. If you don't like that, then move to Iran.

Big deal. I don't give a rat's ass whether the original Constitution mentioned "Creator". It has since been amended. The First Amendment, known as the Establishment Clause, states that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion , or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” Amendments, upon ratification, are considered part of the Constitution. End of discussion. If you don't like having a separation of church

COL, know that these jingos represent only 35% of those diehards who still support the dubya regime. Not worth arguing, really, and certainly not about economics. They still think that gravity is a theory, and therefore, down is up is down when it comes to trickledown, or Reaganomics or Voodoo Economics. 35% and still sinking...............

Thank you, joeknowledge, for your insight. As I said, I really am not trying to convince people that they shouldn't be flying the confederate flag, if that's what they want to do. But, do not be all astounded and aghast and defensive when some people take issue with it. Whether you admit it or not, it has some racist connotations. Therefore, it will always be controversial. Does it make me racist because I take issue with that

I thought about putting this in the Humor category (for about 1/10th of a second), but decided it belongs in Politics.
