I've been trying to find the answer to this, and it should be simple, and I've looked on the Sysmetrix site, but I can't find it. What code do you use to convert wind direction from degrees to compass bearings? I know that 270 degrees, for instance, is from the west, but I'd rather see it in bearing direction. Hoping this is possible....... TIA, Dabe <img src="http://images.stardock.com/

I've tried Mozilla & the smaller Firebird, but for some reason, it just doesn't work smoothly on my computer. Everything from curser movements, to scrolling to whatever is very jerky and delayed. I gave up, and now I'm back to IE with the Avant Browser skin over it. I like its features, particularly the popup stopper, and it runs very smoothly. As an aside, I found the same problem with Mozilla's email client, Thunderbird. I really don't want to use Outlook Express, because of all t
Oops!!! I apologize profusely. I was just following screen instructions, or so I thought. Thanks, all. That won't happen again. Dabe, in learning mode.......
Maybe this is just a comment. Maybe this is a request. Maybe I just don't know how to do it. But, if the Stardock browser had a back/history/numerous sites back button on the browser, I'd probably be using it exclusively. It's a clean, fast browser. But, I need that ability to jump back over a number of sites, the way IE and Netscape do. Thoughts? Di <img src="http://images.sta
I hope I'm posting this correctly. Soon will find out. Many thanks to Jairo and Chad. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powered by SkinBrow
Is there any way to remove that stupid picture in the start menu? You know, the chess pieces, butterfly, soccer ball, etc? I know how to put my own picture on there, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to have NO picture. I'm using the Revolutionist object bar, and it works really well with the rest of what I have on my desktop. And, I'm sure it would look a whole lot better without a picture. I'm beginning to feel really *stupid*....... TIA Di <A HREF="
Thanks. That did the trick. I don't know what was in one of those folders, but I moved the whole lot to my second drive. It's a storage backup drive, now that I upgraded to a faster and bigger drive (60 gigs). Can't do to much on a little 13 gig drive anymore. Anyway, OB is working just fine. But, DesktopX won't uninstall. I get a message saying "Could not open INSTALL.LOG file." I think I'm ju
I didn't know about SDC until you mentioned it, so THANKS!! I downloaded the program and checked for updates. Truth is, I'm still using the unregistered versions, so it will only give me info on those versions, even though I am a Wincustomize subscriber. Anyway, of the unregistered versions, I am up to date on everything. I'd hate to think that just because I'm not registered, I'd get excessively buggy software, but only registered versions get the useable stuff. Besides, I've onl
Yes, it is. What is it, and should I shut it down? I don't consider myself to be a computer novice; I use them all the time at home and work. But, I'm a complete idiot when it comes to some of these nuts 'n bolts things. Thanks, Di, aka dabe
I have been using OB for a few weeks now, along with other Stardock components. I like it alot, mostly for cosmetic reasons, but I'm also figuring a more useable desktop, right now. In other words, I'm a newbie, and I'm having fun. But, for some reason, OB is miserably corrupted. Every time I try to run it, I get a dialogue box that states "Object Bar has encountered a
