However, my love for SC runs deep, and like i said in the prior posts that states " Kavik_Kang you do have some very valid points." if you where to read his post above, you would see what i'm referring to.
looking at the screen above, we should probably think about changing platforms it has an old style that makes me feel a little more secure with, times when information was mine and not for the entire world to see. Anyways, you know, DOSBOX is great for loading old games such as Starcon 1-3... but don't think there is any Amiga emulators out there, perhaps he took a picture on his phone & then scanned it in (I know he does the same thing with his current desktop apps). :P

[quote who="Kavik_Kang" reply="47" id="3665751"] I'll add one that isn't in the vocabulary of you mere mortal modern gamer/sci-fi space ship fans... Drogue - A weapons platform, like a barge, towed behind a ship. This is held in the shuttle bay and can be "reeled out" behind the ship and "reeled back in" to re-arm/re-load, like the towed array on a submarine. Most effective as a missile/drone launch platform. I had a commodore 64 & Apple IIe. I remember my first VGA card, after my EGA one got fried because of a lightning strike. Ahhh, the good old days. Then came Starcon & MOO, and it became even better. No more Oregon Trail ...
Its easier for old legacy guys like me to load up TeamSpeak. [e digicons]:D[/e]
Perhaps we are responsible for resurrecting one of these dead races though finding there DND, and causing a big problem in our multiverse... one that the predecessors saw ages ago and where enemies with. They stopped them before some type of galactic apocalypses happened. But, now we are the cause of re-introducing them into our galaxy and causing a big mess.
Kavik_Kang you do have some very valid points.

What would be really cool is, if you could take abilities from the alien ships you have access to and add them to a main predecessor ship you have, not the human ship but have it be a component that can be swapped on or off. Then there could even be dead races where you could find components to add on to your main ships as well... perhaps some compatibility issues where you would have to explore and find or research being able to equip that technology. Maybe going into some other multiverse /
At first glance, i have to admit I'm concerned. I myself don't like the cartoon look with things, and i know other people don't like it as well. This group, does not play WoW or other games like this, because its very hard to have a more serious approach on it and it just bugs us. Its probably to late to even make comments on this, but if something could be done, to apply more realistic non-cartoon-ish look to things that would be super.

I'm new here, loved all the starcons in the past. I'm not sure where to start here, or even download things. Not sure if i can link anything up to steam after i purchased the founders edition here. Any direction would be great as far as downloads/features/places to comment & involvement because i would love to be involved anyway on this great opportunity here! As of today I'm a noob - we will just have to wait until tomorrow so that i can clear everything in this galax
seems to be a good place for me to start. :)
though out the years I've kept my eyes open, but wow i missed this one. Is this still the case with purchasing into the Star Control Lifetime Founder's Edition - $99.99? Or can one still do that?
