I whole-heartedly agree with the other posters. Stardock has earned my undying respect and support. From no other game company could you get the kind of community involvement that you find with Stardock. I mean, the Big Cheese of the company has posted twice in this very thread! I, like almost every other gamer, like to be treated with respect and like my game companies to be up-front and honest with me. I do not like being kept in the dark or treated like a criminal. Stardock does neither

Ok, these are two minor (in the sense that they aren't bugs) UI tweaks that would make the game a little more mouse friendly. The first has to do with scrolling the main map by moving the mouse to the edges of the screen. Can you please make it so that if you move the mouse to corners of the screen, the map scrolls diagonally? Its a tad frustrating to move the cursor to the very corner of the screen, but still have to move the mouse back and forth to go in a diagonal direction. Als

I saw on some TV show that there is supposed to be a whole extended portion at the end of the movie that is done in First Person point of view. I'm kind of interested in seeing how well that works...

Hazylunarrain - I have also been using Trillian from the free 0.7? version and bought the 2.0 when it was released. I have since renewed my subscription and installed it on 3-4 different machines. I have never had one problem with it and thoroughly enjoy all of the features. Try checking your machine and when you get it installed, you may love it. Brian

In the main map, I zoomed out to the point right before tactical mode and grabbed the map to move it around really randomly and quickly. I dropped to about 20 FPS when I did this. I didn't notice much slow-down in the ship creation screen. ****************************** Title Screen: 38.0 fps Main Map: 20.2 - 35.7 fps Ship Design: 28.9 - 40.0 fps VSync Off Title Screen: 73.6 - 77.3 fps Main Map

No, it does not always face backwards. Sometimes it faces sideways and forwards, and sometimes it changes every turn. On the turn before the one pictured above, the ship was facing sideways. My graphics card: GeForce FX 5600 I will be continually excited about getting the next build of this great game. Thanks guys!

I have not found any bugs in the ship creation yet, and I wanted to express how much fun I am having creating ships. It would be great it I could just customize the premade classes of ships with "bling" so that I have unique ships that I feel like I designed, but it so much better to be able to do that AND create my own ships from scratch, so that I can have a very speedy and inexpensive colony ship or a massive starship that looks cool to ME. Awesome addition! Th

Yes, that is all that matters. I guess I should clarify, though. I didn't really mean that it was the best game ever. I can think of plenty of games that are better games overall, but to me, it has been one of the best gaming experiences. I have never put the amount of time into another game, nor come away with the overwhelming feeling that I had played a huge part in an epic story and that I had chosen my path the whole way. So, I agree

Lots of people did not like Morrowind, for various reasons, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I can not count the tremendous number of gaming hours that I put into it and its expansions. I played all the way through the original and both expansions, and enjoyed every minute of it. Probably one of my best gaming experiences ever. By the end of the game, I felt like a god, because nothing could touch me. I am drooling at the thought of playing Oblivion.<

Simply awesome! I like the level of ship customization you guys are trying to put in. Its a small thing, but the ship color is great thing for me to be able to change. I can't wait until I can get my hands on the beta. Keep up the good work!

You guys don't get many comments for these blogs on Galciv2, but I just wanted to let you know that there is at least one person who finds them very interesting. Please keep them up. I thoroughly enjoy Galciv, and will be renewing my subscription to TotalGaming.net to get the beta and eventually the game. Keep up the good work.

Wow, I loved Morrowind and would be very interested in blogs about Oblivion. Morrowind is actually one of my favorite games and I am still playing it and both expansions, although I have finished all three storylines. PLEASE blog!

This article may be a little below you or you may already know the wonders of having the Windows desktop stretched across two monitors, but if not, read on, because I know that you will want to hear this and try it for yourself. I also don't know why more sites haven't tackled the subject. I have never read anything on the subject of dual monitors until the past mon

I have had The Political Machine COMPLETELY freeze my computer several times since it was released. Most of the time, it freezes when trying to go into a multiplayer game. I will click the start button to start a multiplayer game, or when the game creator clicks start, their game will load, but mine just freezes. I have to restart the computer to get anything to work again. I have reinstalled the game, and the same thing happens. Here are my syste

Yeah, Galactic Civilizations and its expansion Altarian Prophecy are worth the money alone, not to mention The Political Machine, The Corporate Machine, and maybe even Galactic Civilizations 2 in the future. Plus you will not find better technical support from a game company ANYWHERE....period. Its worth the money.
