Win 7 64-bit. This seems to have fixed it...will advise if it resurfaces.

I picked a folder on the desktop to stay visible...I've since deleted it and still shows up in the Fences config.
Well, I uninstalled it and went back to the last stable release. Screen update speed much better, no crashes. /sarcasm on Kudos to Stardock for putting the "don't show beta releases" option in such an obvious place. I ALWAYS click on the company logo when I want to find the options screen. /sarcasm off
Still crashes. I've uninstalled & reinstalled the video drivers (latest) and the game. No luck. It seizes up about 5 minutes into play; either crashes to desktop or hangs the system (cannot see the desktop, just a corrupted screen). Any thoughts?

I have been able to play SoSE without any issues. I recently updated to the latest beta and now the game hangs my PC within 5 minutes of a game start. About 20% of the time it will crash to desktop, the rest of the time it locks up the PC (screen visible, music playing but no response to CTRL-ALT-DEL, Start Menu, etc.). Windows XP Pro ATI Radeon 9800 Are there any crash files I can send in to help diagnose?
Nope, no icon packager or anything else. It's really frustrating to have such inconsistency...it's worked fine before (I installed a new hard drive and am re-installing everything to a nice, clean install).
Am having the same problem...Internet Explorer & Photoshop show wrong icons. Tried changing dock item properties, no luck. Browsed to exe file, can see icon...but dock won't display it. Also noticed sometimes it puts shortcut arrow on dock icon, but isn't consistent.
Concur w/Zugg...I posted this last week to a different thread... I hope this isn't a RTFM moment, but there's a minor annoyance on the trading screen. Once I decide what I want to trade (say Tech X & Y for Tech Z), I then try to balance the deal by tweaking influence and/or credit sliders....those just are tough to operate...it seems like they are too sensitive when I mouse drag them...and typing in different increments and then using cursor-left or cursor-right to find the "sweet spo
Brad: My boxed copy came Saturday via Priority Mail. I assume I don't need to enter the serial number from the box... One small gripe...the box was a teeny bit squished by our friends at the Post Office. I would suggest that you use a double-size video box from USPS...they are free with Priority Mail postage and will protect the box more than a padded mailer (it's a cost savings for you, too). See http://shop.usps.com and choose Mailing/Shipping, Priority Mail. <br/
I hadn't realized the mouse wheel worked here; that will help. Will have to give it a try. My point is that emperors wouldn't be negotiating the nitty-gritty like that...tweaking the fine points of the deal is for the State Department to do. It reminds me of some of the comments in the Civ4 manual about eliminating things that weren't fun and finding alternate ways to get the same
