Hope its not too late for more comments... First, I'd like to make a point regarding 4X games in general; Explore, Expand, Exploit, Exterminate. Additionally, the context here is a space empire . The point is that most 4X space games, aren't. I didn't play GalCiv III much, compared to GalCiv II, because I was thrust into Exterminate almost immediately.
