Just tested myself, it appears this is broken for me as well on v1.05

Sorry should’ve specified - meant the having to create a waypoint to fudge upgrading ships. If they’re just not meant to be upgraded that’s one thing, but I’d like to think you could upfit them at a star base, shipyard, colony etc
Is this intended design, a workaround for something broken, or a glitch allowing you to upgrade when you shouldn’t be able to? I hope not intended design.
That’s great input, never even considered support ships with more moves. I want so many turns back.
Good evening, I understand there isn’t really a “right” way to play the game, but are you missing out strategically pretty significantly if you only use the prebuilt ships? My first few play throughs I haven’t played with the shipbuilder at all and am curious if it’s more of a immersive element, or truly advantageous. thanks!
Thank you for the direction. That’s really disappointing that feature has been removed.
Good evening, During Alpha, there was a fleet management screen that allowed you to automate a lot of ship decisions, as well as upgrade multiple ships after technology upgrades. I’ve just started playing again and can’t find that screen. Has it been removed? If so, can you still upgrade ships in your fleet after technology upgrades? thank you!
Where can the Wiki be found? thanks!
Good afternoon, It's been a while since I have been able to play, and coming back now I'm excited we are now in Beta! I've searched around the forum a bit and could not find the answer so apologies if this has already been addressed. I'm curious as to what your starting ideology actually does for you? Thanks!
May be a well known issue already, I'm still new to this game but I haven't played in about 6 days and when I try to load my saved game it just keeps crashing. Not sure if an update released in that window that's causing or what, but figured I would bring it up. Thanks
I’m curious about this as well. As I just built my PC I’m still in the how much I spent denial state so I would gladly throw another $250 for 32gb more of ram only though if it’s truly worth it.
I currently have 32gb RAM and am about 4.25 hours into the game. So 12+ then isn’t unheard of!
Ok that makes me feel better. I’m playing on the largest map available and only have explored 6 sectors and fully colonized 3. I know I’m not doing well my first time through and I’m at about 50% prestige so I could see that being a little quick. Hoping to play tonight and explore a bunch of the answers you’ve all helped with!
Great thank you both for the input. I wasn’t able to play today but I’m around 150 or so turns and just unlocked planetary invasion so about to dive into that. I’m trying to get a scope on this game; considering normal speed, how long can these last? Hundreds of turns? Given the size of the maps you can do now, is 1000+ A reality? I’m about 3 hours into mine now and though the ultimate idea of gaming is ensuring YOU enjoy it, I am curious as to w
I went through and watched all the tutorial videos which was a great help. I'm ~100 turns into a game currently and find myself with many other questions. It appears that when you have a survey ship in your fleet as you explore anomalies, all ships in the fleet get the XP. Is this accurate? Is the XP divided equally among them? When you research an upgrade, like +10% to beam weapons does it impact your current ships, or only ones made
Great to know! I will check those guides out this evening!
Awesome thank you! I will check those out for sure. It’s so great to see devs so interactive and attentive even to a simple question like mine. I’m going to lose many many hours to this game, and it’s still getting better!
Good evening, I’ve always had an affinity for space games and came across GalCiv and bought the Alpha Access and immediately loved it. However, being in Alpha I understand all the mechanics aren’t fully explained or tutorials aren’t completely built out yet. I did some forum searching but wasn’t able to find anything other than reading through the dev blogs, so my question is - is there a Wiki or guide for IV somewhere, or is the game similar enough to it
