Personally I think Microsoft should have improved Windows XP and not even have bothered making a new OS, especially one (oops, now 2!) OS's that a pain in the rear to skin.
...really?...there are so many things wrong with that statement.

Yes, they'll ride rough-shod over anyone in their corporate way, as usual... Won't happen, Cisco is to large, they're worth something like 140-170 billion where as Apple is only worth 70 billion <T
The second picture showing the enhanced dialog looks more like the detailed view you would see in Windows Explorer Not to sound to critical or to harsh but, other then the grid, there is nothing there that windows doesn't already do, making the detail view the default view is nothing to marvel over. Although Macs running Windows is definitely news, I don't think it'll change much. Thats a rather narrow sighted comment to make, considering how things do change in the computer industry on a regular basis. I would likely put money on the fact that both Apple and Microsoft will move more stock becaus
I smell a betamax 8 track flashback coming on Thats Betamax vs VHS dude....8-track is audio. Funny thing with Blueray vs HDDVD, it is the same two companies that were in the Betamax vs VHS war and if history does repeat itself, we will be seeing HDDVD win this one.
People are going to bitch when they lose to Stardock employees and there is no perfect way to avoid that. The best you can do is have blind judges look at the themes. That just ends up being alot of work on the "intraweb", would have to keep submissions hidden till the judges are done, names and references would have to be removed from skin files before they are seen by the jugdes, people would have to learn to shut up and not share their projects earl
Linus Torvald has trademarked the name Linux and has moved forward to ask companies using the name to pay a trademark fee. Sure he may have come up with the name but its a little to late to trademark it now, and He didn't want to use it to begin with..... <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Li
Intel makes more then just x86 chips, so why assume that apple is planning to switch to the x86 architecture?

P.E.B.M.A.C. I almost Never have random crashes, its always because of something I have done, I can run a stable windows install without a crash in months, I can also run an unstable linux install with a crash every time I boot. Even the times the PC crashed itself, It was because of something I had done earlier(installing a HD and screwed the memory up, yay quick and staticey installs). My suggestion, learn to use a computer better</
Hmmm, where to start, primary OS is win XP pro just cause its the easiest to use when it comes to what I do. Its been tweaked so much that it would scare any normal windows user, and not just the UI either, it runs faster and better then a default install, and set up perfectly for the software dev I get to do from time to time. Other then that, theres Fedora and Ubuntu running on the same computer (ones on a second partition, the other is via VMware)<B
I think alot of this merger has to do with the up-coming release of a few different Microsoft products, one would compete with pdf, the other with flash. It worries them because they know MS will but their pdf like product into office which makes sure everyone is exposed to it. There version of flash on the other hand, its rumoured to make creating XAML (what its called) easier then flash by automating large portions of it. Shall be interesting to see
~~it doesn't slow down switching at all - no other program that we know of~~ Im using Dexpot 1.3 Link and I have no slow downs at all when switching between desktops. My computer isn't top of the line, and I end up having some heavy apps running on each desktop (ide's, photoshop, oracle, etc) so is not an easy switch. Before I get flamed, I am NOT saying this program is bad in any way, ju
now to wait for the themes to flood the internet. been using this for some time
