Thanks, we've got some edges to smooth over with the UI. I'll let the team know about this one.

Not the metaverse button the gear button at the bottom of the main menu. What version of the game are you on?
There's no tutorial campaign no. For IV we have tried to keep things as intuititive in tooltips etc. as possible. There are also some great community made guides.
You should be able to download from the mod manager in game. Where are you seeing a grey button?
I don't think we have cloud saves yet. But you can set it up to backup with gdrive or onedrive.
Stats for citizens need to be mosued over. You can have different species.
Not sure I follow what you're saying here. Are you trying to run the game on Linux? We don't support Linux.
You may need to run either epic or the exe of the game itself as admin. Some people have reported changing the installation directory can help too. See the support FAQ for more information.
Apologies. I didn't ask my question well. If we have the Epic edition, would we have to buy it again to run via Steam or GoG?
We won't be providing copies to other platforms no. However, we do have our own mod manager and multiplayer servers that work across any/all stores.
Personally I prefer the idea of using espionage to learn about the relations of other civilizations. It doesn't make sense for you to know the details of how civs view one other or their treaties with a few exceptions. Everything is an extrapolation in a game though.
No we are not providing keys for any other store.
You mean being able to see all relations between civs? That would be cheating. You can see what relations you have with another civ.
BTW, if I had my way there'd be no explaination on this at all. You'd analyse three battle results and try to figure out strategies from trial and error. I don't even like showing the tech tree or saying what techs lead to.
Heh, I also like some fuzziness with the tech tree but pretty much everyone demanded we add a full tree list.
There's more of a difference than governors to a core world. Colonies feed into core worlds but having a governor means microamanging that world and it doesn't feed into another core world. It's all about management and late game economics. As well as where you "spend" your leaders.
You can go to https://discord.gg/GalCiv to ask quick gameplay questions. Usually faster response there from the community.
As sci-fi mentioned this is something being expended on in free updates. Also please don’t necro old threads.
This should be an easy change to make.
Quoting Frogboy, reply 3 I like forums myself and enjoy reading the questions because it makes one think about the game again from the pov of someone totally new to the series. Very valuable stuff. Yeah... like where is the AAR forum?
I've noticed you've posted a lot of short questions about gameplay and mechanics for GalCiv IV. You might find such questions are easier, and better, asked/answered by our discord community . The #commons-gc4 channely specifically is made in part to ask these sorts of questions and get answers from the community in realtime.
We do have plans for a russian translation but it will come out later with the other translations. Hotseat? you mean for multiplayer? We had no plans to.
Translations will be done later after the text is all finalized. This ensures a high quality translation.
Do we need to uninstall the 'Test' version and reinstall the other one on Epic?
The test version will probably continue for testing new patches. But if you prefer stability you should stick to the main branch once we hit 1.0.
