In the early 1990's, my college suite-mate played the first GalCiv on his OS/2 computer. He was very proud of the operating system and just as fond of the game itself. He was a big fan of MOO2 back then and always bragged to me how much "better" OS/2 was than Windows (he was studying Computer Engineering). Well, if you gotta, I'd recommend DLC for a campaign. All of my GalCiv experiences over the years have been nothing but sandbox.
