Does it actually still require only 1,2,3 etc labs? If the new numbers are actually being used you could check the string file, it may have those lines of text in it.

If you want to fire two weapons form the same place you will need two sets of hardpoints at that location. I have done this a couple of times just by editing the .mesh files in notepad.
