I found the problem with OD2 not obeying the setting "stay on top", there is a more options link that has an option "Autohide for maximised applications"
Quoting mitchellkrog, reply 420When is the next beta release due? LOL!!! Seriously though. It was pulling teeth to just get this beta update. Hopefully they move faster with the next one. If it mirrors the timeline for this released beta and the original beta drop then it will be Nov-Dec.
I won't hold my breath then :D
When is the next beta release due?
New bugs I discovered today on OD2 v1.98 on Win 7 x64. 1) each time I start my PC, Objectdock is moving my Windows Sticky Notes to different parts of the screen and also resizing them. Quite annoying. 2) OD2 hung on me today for the first time, the zoom bar would not show up and when I minimzed a window when this happened the window went all skewed and out of focus. Had to kill the task and restart the application. 4) Zoom bar is NOT obeying the setting
where do I check the version number I am running? Open Impulse and go to the My Software Tab. Find OD Plus 2 in the list and click on it. The update day and version number will show at the bottom of the window. Mouse over that info and you get the full version number, in my case- v1.98.036
Thanks Wizard, I checked and it's 1.98, not 1.98.036 like yours.
mitchellkrog, are you running the first beta (v. 1.97) or the second one (v. 1.98)? I noticed this with the first beta, but it seems to be fixed now with beta 2.
Thanks for the reply mirsguy, where do I check the version number I am running?
On Windows 7 x64 Ultimate I am noticing very sluggish behaviour when minimising and restoring windows from the zoom bar. Never happened with previous version of Objectdock also never happened in 18 months of running Win7, started only after loading this beta. The day I first loaded the app it did not do this at all, only after the first reboot after loading did it start. Anything I can check? any suggestions? Nothing has changed with graphics drivers or anything else since lo
I posted half of this above post in the forums using Impulse and the post does not appear anywhere here. I looked in Impulse tonight and my post is there in the ObjectDock forum but not here ???? I'm lost. Where is the 'here' that this post isn't showing?
Jafo, I posted this question in the ObjectDock forum (this forum) but I did it from inside the Impulse software. I received no replies to my post after
Thanks WebGizmos, at least I'm not mad as I looked through every section of this forum without finding that setting. I agree it would be nice to have that feature as I personally do not like replying 5 days later to someone who took the time to reply to me.
I have noticed that minimising windows and restoring them from the zoom bar produces some very sluggish and jerky movements. Did not do this in the older version and I've never had any sluggish behaviour like this on Windows 7 prior to OD2. Anyone else experiencing this?
Does anyone know how to enable that I get notifications of replies to posts via email? I've checked everywhere for a setting to enable this but cannot find one. Many thanks
Thanks Cavan, I figure it is an Adobe problem, I just hope that Stardock can find a way in the new version to force any and all icons that a program creates into one icon. It seems there are some people complaining about this on Adobe's forums but it does not seem that Adobe care too much about it. I'm pretty certain developers have control over the Windows API to make their software produce the icons or not, CS4 never did it so it must be the new codebase that is Windows 7 compliant. <
Thank you Cavan :) That did the trick !!! Much obliged.
Hi, I just purchased Object Desktop yesterday. I started out running the free version which was great, then decided it was so great I would upgrade to plus which I did and then in the process loaded the Beta 2. I'm running it on Windows 7 Ultimate X64 and it works like a dream, I am finally able to say my goodbye's to the awful Windows 7 Taskbar. That said, I have found two problems, yes I know it's a Beta still but best this stuff is reported no? <span
In the previous version of ObjectDock this worked but now in V2 it does not. I use Firefox with multiple profiles and launch them with arguments (see below) I have created these icons with arguments in a tabbed dock but once I have one copy of Firefox running, ObjectDock will not allow me to run a second copy and as I say it worked with the previous version. Shortcuts would look as follows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla
