I've played a few games now (mostly on Normal), and I notice that the AIs have been moving up the Energy Weapons Techs without regard to either Mass Drivers nor Missiles. At first, I thought maybe it was because they were trading with each other to help one another up the energy weapons techs, but when I turned Tech Trading off they still did the same thing, all four major races had researched ONLY energy weapons independently. I am fairly new to GalCiv. I bought DL recently and I've already been beaten into the ground once and achieved victory twice on Normal. I've been playing around with creating Custom races and I just wanted to know what everyone's favorite (DL) race traits were that they use points for. I wanted to try the Speed trait, but it soaks up a lot of points and I was wondering if it was worth it in the long run. So far I have focused my points on Economics and Research,
